The space
Enter into the well-equipped kitchen diner which offers seating for six people. Amenities include an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge freezer, washing machine and dishwasher.Sit back and relax in the sitting room which features exposed wooden beams and a traditional sandstone fireplace with a wood burning stove. You can also make the most of the TV with Freeview, plus a selection of books, games and DVDs.
The next floor presents three beautiful bedrooms, each decorated to a lovely standard. There are two double bedrooms, along with one single room. Bed linen and towels are included.
In the bathroom you’ll find a bathtub with overhead shower, a wash basin and a WC.
Enjoy the warm weather outside on the patio area, or the enclosed rear garden.
Guest access
Guests have access to the full property.The keys to Spittal Farm are accessed via a key safe box, and full details will be provided prior to check-in.
Off-road parking is available for two vehicles. There is a visitor bay opposite that can fit additional vehicles in, subject to availability.
Please note that Spittal Farm is located near a busy main road so there may be some traffic noise.

We have stayed here before when it was privately owned which is why we jumped at the chance to stay again. The house is spotless and beds very comfortable with lots of additional touches like toiletries.
However, the reason for my adequate rating is that despite wifi being advertised, it did not work.
When we arrived the fuse board had been tripped and there was no lighting upstairs and no power to major appliances. I reported this but managed to fix it myself while they were looking into it.
The toilet broke within an hour of us arriving and I spent the first evening speaking to plumbers and chasing them. Again we managed to fix it ourselves because we had already been told a plumber could not come out.
The heating in the living room was broken and there were no logs for the fire which had been provided previously. This was not fixed at all during our stay despite assurances that it would be so we were very cold.
The house is amazing, just spoiled our break with all the problems.

We have stayed before with previous owners and maybe we had become accustomed to certain amenities such as internet and wood for the log burner being supplied, I must however say that there is absolutely no issues with the property or the host but nowadays when working away from home internet is a must for most so as long as you can manage without it you’ll be fine.
