Tucked away in historic Whitby, Number 5 is a newly renovated three-bedroom holiday let with a fully equipped kitchen, living dining area along with secure outdoor space. Whitby Train Station, the harbour and shops are less than a 10-minute walk away so you can immerse yourself in the town’s rich history, enjoy the various attractions and take in the refreshing sea breeze. Number 5 is the perfect getaway for six guests, offering everything you need for a staycation in North Yorkshire.
The space
Number 5 is a three-bedroom property furnished to a high standard, perfect for accommodating families and groups of friends who wish to enjoy a quiet yet adventurous stay. With wooden flooring throughout the ground floor and carpet on the first and second floors, Number 5 is stylish with a grey and blue interior design complemented by homely furniture and art pieces.

Upon entry, the first room to your left is the spacious living area, complete with a Smart TV and comfortable seating for your entire group to get settled.

You will have quick access to the kitchen and dining area as this shares the living space. Number 5 boasts a fully equipped kitchen with integrated appliances including a fridge, freezer, dishwasher, oven, grill, microwave, and hob. A wooden dining table with pull-out benches ensure everyone can dine together.

Whether staying for a quick getaway or a longer stay, you will have access to a washer/dryer for your convenience in the utility room next door. You’ll also be welcome to store walking attire here.

A door from the utility room patio leads to a small yard featuring a warm tap, shelter and storage benches containing buckets, spades and D-lock rings for secure bike storage. It's ideal for enjoying the sun or the sea air.

Upstairs on the first floor is a twin bedroom featuring two single beds and a window overlooking the rear yard.

The second bedroom has a super-king size bed, and it also features a TV with access to Freeview channels and streaming apps.

There is also a family bathroom with a bath, WC, and sink conveniently located close to the first-floor bedrooms.

On the second floor is the master bedroom, which features a double bed and an ensuite bathroom fitted with a shower, WC, and wash basin. Please note that the loft room is accessed via steep stairs.

The keys to Number 5 are accessed via a key safe box, and full details will be provided prior to check-in.

Free on-street parking is available nearby on a first come, first served basis.

One small, well behaved dog is welcome to stay at Number 5 per reservation.

Host was good with communicating with me about the stay, shared helpful info and the home was very easy to access. Decent on street parking available. Home was as described; good location and the rooms were bigger than I expected. Only thing I would comment on is that, as other guests have mentioned, it didn’t feel as though there had been a deep clean of the house before we stayed. There was new bedding, towels and a clean kitchen but some areas were very dusty and so surfaces didn’t feel super clean. Felt like the house needed airing out and a good deep clean, not just the basics. Overall good price and suited our needs with location and space. Asked to check in an hour or two earlier than 4pm but not able to, which was a shame.

The house was good for our family group. The bedrooms had clean bedding and the beds were comfortable- toilets and bathrooms were reasonably clean. Pots, pans and cutlery were clean and plenty of these. Kitchen was clean and well appointed. Some cleanliness issues which the representative s said they would take up with the housekeepers and offered us a deep clean which we refused as the time was not suitable for us.

Had a fab weekend at No 5. Would definitely recommend and would not hesitate to stay again. Whitby and surrounding area beautiful .
