The kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances and is a haven for culinary adventures and the creation of delectable dishes.
Prepare for endless fun and friendly competitions in the games room, complete with ping pong and pool table. And for those looking to stay active, our basement offers an elliptical and exercise bike, so you can keep up with your fitness routine even on vacation.

Head out to the large deck where a sprawling umbrella provides shade on sunny days. Set the stage for unforgettable outdoor dining experiences, and as night falls, gather around the cozy firepit to share stories and toast marshmallows under the starry sky.
But that's not all! Our cottage boasts a spacious yard, perfect for outdoor games, picnics, and basking in the sun. Let the kids run free and explore while you enjoy the tranquility of this expansive retreat.
NOTE: Lake access is a short walk to Tuyll street. The lakebed can be sandy or stoney depending on what the lake gives you that day. But it sure is fun to try to find the ever changing sandbars. Generally you will find sand 3ft out. It's fun to go stone collecting - Lake Huron is a geologists paradise! Just bring some water shoes. The nice thing is, it's not weedy or slimy at all.
Other things to note
All Guests are required to sign a separate cottage rental agreement and provide government issued photo id. Including names and ages of all guests who will occupy the property. Primary renter must be over 25 photo id is required. Only those occupants listed on the Rental Agreement, are allowed to occupy the property. A separate security deposit of $500 is required. This property is equipped with a monitoring device (including noise, temp & wifi connections) and camera outside of front door.Any house rules violation is grounds for immediate termination of your stay without refund.
Max occupancy at all times is 7 (6 Adults Max) violation will result in removal without refund.
Max 2 Pets are allowed but must sign separate pet addendum - violation will result in removal without refund.
Parking is limited to 5 vehicles
Linens are available for $20/per person. This includes Tea Towels, Dishcloths, Sheets & Pillowcases, Bathroom towels, Hand towels and Face cloths. Does not include Beach Towels.

My family had a lovely stay at the Luxury Log Retreat. The home is very clean and spacious. It is on a quiet street and a short 10 min walk to the Bayfield Square where we found many restaurants, shops, and ice cream! Our kids played in the park there as well. We enjoyed Bayfield main beach and the marina. The home is 20 min drive from Goderich Beach and Grand Bend Beach as well. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed to make a family meal. The backyard has a well working and clean grill and a fire pit. The kids really liked the pool and table tennis. They also enjoyed the badminton in the backyard. Jennifer was a great host. She checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. The home is exactly as pictured. Very well maintained. We enjoyed the s’mores kit we got as well. Highly recommended and worth the price. We plan on returning next year again.

The home is perfect for families and VERY clean! We were happy with the layout for a family of three, plus two adults that tagged along. There’s a cute downtown and park within walking distance and the beach at Grand Bend is a quick 20 minute drive! Great location to unplug but still be near things to do if you like the beach and nature.

My husband and I take visit Bayfield every year and this has by far been the one of the best places we have stayed. I love the open concept of the living /dining room. When we first arrived there was a folder with things to do in the area/restaurants/hiking trails and beaches . The house location is perfect with a 9 min walk into the town and a 3 min drive. I also had my two dogs on the trip with us and when we arrived there were some dog biscuits /water bowls for them which I really really appreciated. Overall the house is beautiful and comfortable and the neighborhood is quiet and relaxing . I would absolutely recommend and we will be returning next year ! Thank you again for such a great weekend !
