Keep it simple at this peaceful and centrally located place which has secure basement parking and is only a lift-ride away from shops and restaurants. A short 2-minute walk to the beach.
Coffee, tea, beach and bath towels provided as well as all other essentials for the bathroom and kitchen.
Ideal for singles or couples. Should you have a child with you we can accommodate them on the pullout couch in the lounge
The space
The apartment was renovated to be wheelchair accessible and has a large roll-in shower.
The sofa bed in the lounge is for 1 adult or 2 children. There is an extra charge for using this bed to cover the extra laundry charges.
There is only 1 allocated secure parking. Extra vehicles will park in the street and there are security guards, night and day, so it is safe.
Guest access
The entire apartment except for the locked private cupboard is for your use.
Other things to note
Towels are changed after 3 nights. Linen is changed after 7 days. Any additional change requests to this will be for your account.
Unfortunately, there is no backup generator for the lifts during loadshedding.
There is an inverter which keeps the wifi and tv on during loadshedding and we have loadshedding lamps and where possible we energy storing lightbulbs.
There is a charge of R1 000-00 to replace a lost set of keys and tags which have to be specially coded.

Had an amazing stay and couldn't have asked for more. Alan was incredibly helpful from the start, especially when it came to finding the place, which made the arrival stress-free. We walked into a spotless apartment with a great view. The apartment looked better than the photos. The space felt welcoming, well-kept, and clearly cared for. We didn’t have a car during our stay and never felt like we needed one. Everywhere we wanted to go was within easy walking distance. Overall, this was one of the best holidays I’ve had, largely thanks to the beautiful place and its location. Highly recommended.

I had an absolutely amazing stay at their condo. Beautiful views. The place was clean, smelled good. Every thing is at a walking distance, the beach, restaurants, oceans mall. The hosts themselves made me feel welcome and comfortable . It will definitely be my go to airbnb when I am at Umhlanga

We’ve been wanting to stay at Debs and Alan’s place again for a while, as it holds a special place for my wife and me. We finally got the chance, and it was just as wonderful as we remembered. Thank you, Alan, for being a fantastic host and for extending our stay. The apartment feels like our home away from home. Truly comfortable, with spectacular views, and so conveniently located that you can walk to most places. We really love it and will definitely be back.

I had a great stay in this ocean-facing apartment that was fully equipped with everything I needed. The host was attentive, welcoming, and made the whole experience seamless. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort and convenience close to the Umhlanga/Gateway action and within easy reach of Durban or the North Coast should you need it.

Do not throw cigarette butts or anything else from the balcony. Be considerate of noise levels for neighbours especially after 10pm and before 9am. No glass is allowed in the pool area. Children under 12 must be supervised by an adult
