This was my 2nd stay at this unit. This time a full 6 weeks. It's super conveniently located with a supermarket, restaurants and other shops in the same building. A short hop to the beach promenade. Secure parking and easy and convenient Uber pickup spots. The unit is super clean and smells fresh as it is serviced daily. Debs N Alan truly are Superhosts.

We had a great stay- Debs and Alan were superb hosts. Neat and central apartment located in the heart of all the activity, making it easy to walk to restaurants and bars and walk the promenade. Being in the heart of the village and peak festive season, you are exposed to some night life noise, but the bedroom is on the quieter side of the apartment. We enjoyed our stay and had everything we needed.

Really good, comfortable apartment, exactly as in the photos. The location is very central - close to the beach and literally on top of great restaurants and the Pick n Pay so very convenient. Loved this place! There is no better location in the area. Literally, walk outside, Supermarket, bars, restaurants, etc. The mall is 5 mins walk and so is the beach. The apartment was flawless! Soon as I walked in I extended my stay an extra 2 days because of how nice it was. Deb and the team are top notch. I will be back every year!

I've been to Umhlanga a few times over the years and have a good knowledge of the town, but was pleasantly surprised to find the location of the apartment to be right in the village centre which was ideal for me as this time I came in for a weekend of shopping and everything was within walking distance and Uber was easy to access. Apartment is clean, as pictured and functional. Cleaning service is Daily (even on Sundays!). Debs and Alan her husband were communicative and instructions were clear. They are wonderful hosts! Will stay with them again for sure when I travel back!

I quite liked the few extra pieces available that made the place homely like the food containers that allowed me to store cooked food. The Umhlanga rugby World Cup experience was the cherry on top and Umhlanga rocks was the perfect place to be when SA won!

What an absolute pleasure it was to spend the weekend in Debs and Alan's place. Key things I appreciated was clear communication from the onset. Easy to find. Location, location, location. It was pristine, which my partner really appreciated and smelled so fresh. Debs is a great host who gave us a ton of recommendations. Once we parked the car we had no further use for it because we basically walked everywhere. The beach is a stones throw away and we made use of this with a beautiful long walk in the morning. The restaurants on Chartwell cover your every need and if you take a walk towards the Pearls, you will find other gems which we quite enjoyed. We cannot wait to visit this space again. Time well worth spending for down time.

Alan and Debs were amazing hosts. They communicated excellently with me, gave load shedding updates in time to plan my day and they respond quickly to messages. They even went out of their way get extra parking for my friend, very grateful for that. And the parking area is safe. The apartment is at the center of Umhlanga Rocks. Amazing restaurants just downstairs and a walking distance to Oceans Mall. Perfect spot! The only downside was load shedding. Walking flights of stairs cause lift was not working. No generator or inverter. Otherwise, we had an amazing stay. And would gladly book again in the future.

This place is absolutely amazing. Where can I begin: the view and location are truly breathtaking - you will wake up looking at the sea and ships entering the harbour. The apartment is modern, airy, pristinely clean - it has high ceilings, every comfort you can think of, and amazing light (it looks even better than the pictures). When you go downstairs you are right in the center of everything you can need - 30 seconds from your doorstep - supermarkets, bakeries, the very best restaurants. And you are only a 4 minute walk to the beach. Umhlanga and this apartment are amazing. The hosts Alan and Debs are world-class and go above and beyond to make everything just perfect. The vacation apartment was ideal for my 2 days in Umhlanga. I loved the luxuriously designed interior, the big windows providing lots of light, the location and the partial ocean views. I felt safe at all times. Finding food stores and restaurants just an elevator ride away was an added bonus. So happy I chose this apartment over the other options that came up on my search.

The apartment was beautiful everything about it was perfect from the furnishings to the facilities. For a rental property it exceeded expectations and was even better than the pictures on the listing. We were sorry to have to leave. Debs not only responded to every question quickly but was also so very helpful with recommendations and advice about the area. It is rare that we would dine in at a rental apartment but not so in this one, it was so clean and had everything needed including a Pick and Pay in the basement which was such a bonus. Security was great and meant that the apartments above the public areas were secure and inaccessible by those not resident within them by use of secure outer door and access fobs for the lifts. We would absolutely stay here again and can highly recommend this property and Debs and Alan as great hosts. Many thanks.

We usually book at hotels but decided to Airbnb this trip. I cannot stress how perfect this apartment is - brilliant location with a lovely view, apartment is clean, fully kitted, spacious, beautiful and better than what we were looking for. We were spoilt for choice with eateries and the beach within walking distance, not to mention the supermarkets and other amenities. Everything was done to the highest standard. Wow! Best airbnb we have stayed at yet. Location is amazing. On top of al the great restaurant and a pick n pay and clicks. 5 min walk from the beach. Amazing views. All the luxury one could ask for. Definitely visiting again.

Expect an impeccably clean apartment that feels like a hotel. Debs and Alan are flawless hosts. The apartment is a really decent size and has everything from full satellite tv , great views and furnishings which are way better than average. You even get a welcome chocolate on the pillow case. My stay was absolutely wonderful! The hosts made me feel welcome. The apartment was even more stunning than in the pics. What I appreciated were all the amenities in the flat,right down to a separate towel for wipe off make up. The flat is secure and in a great spot for visitors. I am definitely coming back soon!

Brilliant in all aspects, I booked the apartment for my elderly Mother and a friend. What a great place, we were just there for a couple of days, but it is such a convenient location. Just a short walk to the beach and just downstairs to a wide range of restaurants and bars. The place is well equipped and really clean. The hosts communicated well, and were very attentive and supportive. Overall a really great spot!

My parents loved staying in this apartment. The location for them was perfect as easy access to shops and restaurants and a short walk to the beach so no car necessary. The apartment is beautifully decorated and very clean and has everything you need for a beach holiday. The hosts were exceptionally helpful, friendly and efficient. This is the ideal Umhlanga experience flat. The ideal location that is set right above the busiest and best eateries and pubs in Umhlanga. The place was clean and tidy and had a lovely little balcony to get some sea views. I highly recommend for a great couple get away!

Deb & Alan are phenomenal hosts, very friendly and helpful and they do go the extra mile for their guests when needed. The suite was magical, clean, spacious and just a pure delight to be there, and in the hub of Umhlanga's vibey street restaurants. I whole-heartedly recommend a stay here.

A really nice, modern, comfortable apartment in town. Restaurants and shopping are just a short lift ride downstairs so well located from that point of view. We have used the services of Debs and Alan before. They are great hosts and excellent communicators. The noise factor of suped- up cars driving around the block and in town was annoying, especially on Sunday when we arrived and wanted to chill out. The apartment was a little further from the beach than I would like, but it did force me to get my daily step count up!

I had the absolute best stay…from one of the most comfortable beds with the most gorgeous view to being right inside the village and within walking distance to anything I needed, it doesn’t get better! So safe and central. The apartment was spotless and was equipped with any and everything I needed, including Lindt chocolate on my pillow. Alan and Deb were so helpful and communicative. Thanks for a wonderful stay, I will definitely be back! :)

We had a lovely stay over a long weekend. The suite was comfortable, clean and stylishly decorated with a balcony with views of Durban city in the distance as well as parts of the ocean. It is very centrally located with access to multiple restaurants and other shops in the nearby vicinity, and also very close to the beach promenade which was what we had wanted. We felt very secure with the access control measures in place and Debs was an excellent host. We highly recommend this place to stay at.

If I could give our stay at Debs' place a hundred stars, I would do so. The apartment is beautiful, super clean and we had absolutely everything we could possibly need. We appreciated the friendly, professional way we were received when we arrived, we loved the decor, the wonderfully comfy bed, we adored Bongani who serviced the apartment, but most of all we truly appreciated our hosts' warmth and friendliness. The location is perfect - a whole host of stores and restaurants are an elevator ride away, while the ocean can be seen from the bedroom and living room. Highly recommended.

The flat is situated at the heart of uMhlanga Lighthouse, Pick N Pay is just downstairs and you are surrounded by restaurants, Settle cafe is by walking distance,it's by far the most convenient place we've stayed, definitely our go to stay when we visit Durban again! Last but not least Debs and her family is such a warm host, they went out of their way to get us a small bathtub for our little one, that's something even better than the beautiful flat :)
