We had the most pleasurable, peaceful, beautiful, and refreshing stay in Umhlanga at Debs and Alan’s unit. From the moment we arrived, the welcome we received was warm and inviting, setting the tone for a truly relaxing experience. Everything that was advertised was provided exactly as described — truly a case of “what you see is what you get.” The unit was immaculate, comfortable and offered the perfect setting to unwind. Communication was effortless and efficient. Any request we had was attended to within minutes, which made our stay even more enjoyable and stress-free. We will most certainly continue booking this unit whenever we visit. Highly recommended!

This apartment is really lovely. It's spacious, plenty of room for a family, and the views and verandah are to die for. The kitchen had some nice touches (Nespresso coffee machine) and the whole place seems well taken care of. The location is also fab, just a short walk from Umhlanga restaurants and bars. Debs and Alan also communicated well and check in/check out was seamless. My only slight critique is that whilst the whole apartment is air conditioned (bonus!) it uses a central air con unit that is very, very loud - we actually found we had to turn it off despite shutting doors, etc, due to the noise. Wasn't too much of an issue as the temperatures outside weren't too extreme during our stay, but just wanted to flag for the noise sensitive! Overall, would book again for sure though, as the views and the space are 10/10. Thank you!

Alan was such an awesome host begging with a great introduction and suggestions on things to do. Quickly responded within minutes when the gas bottle for the braai finished. The place itself is amazing, close to the beach, great view, the kids loved it also. Definitely will be coming back here for a longer stay.

This is the the third consecutive time we have stayed at one of Alan/Debs properties and the second time at this particular one which is our favourite. Alan/Debs communication is first rate and their response time to any queries is first class. The apartment itself has everything you will need for a comfortable stay, is very well appointed and is in an excellent location, right on the promenade (safe to walk any time of day or night) and beach with a fantastic covered balcony (which makes it special for us) to sit outside, especially for those balmy warm Durban evenings. This will always be our first choice apartment when we return to Uhmlanga and can thoroughly recommend.

This is the third time staying at one of Debs and Alan's properties, and the 1st time at this particular one. It really is well located, with access directly onto the Promenade. The apartment has been modernised, with the kitchen having all necessary appliances and fittings. Each room was neat and the besd comfortable. The bathrooms, which are always important, were neat, and clean, with good shower pressure. We will definitely be returning.

We had such a beautiful stay! The ocean views were absolutely breathtaking, and the accommodation is literally just a few steps away from the beach it couldn’t be more perfect. Beautiful spacious apartment right at the beach front. The views as you walk in and from the balcony are spectacular. The surrounding is also safe. The host was very helpful and responded quickly when needed. There is also housekeeping everyday, which was much needed as we were a large group. Definitely going to book this place again.

We loved our stay. It was such a blessing, so close to the beach that kids could go down for naps when needed. Walking distance to coffee shops and a small mall and restaurants. Debs was amazing at organizing cots and extras needed for the children. Can’t wait to come back for another visit.

We were accommodated on very short notice. We were even allowed to leave our luggage at the unit before check in time. Very hospitable and kind hosts. The unit is worth every penny we paid. Such a breath of fresh air walking into a place that was as described on the platform. No catfishing here. Amazing hosts that allowed us to check in earlier, the apartment was amazing, stunning views and easy access to a buzzing and vibrant night life. The promenade out the front was so nice to walk and we felt safe at all times. The hosts were very helpful when we weren’t able to get the TV to work. They went above and beyond to help us out. Would definitely book again when we return.

beautiful apartment to the sea. easy acess to the sea with a small beach, just in front of the building 15 min walk to main beach and city center internet and aircon perfect. we loved it there on the veranda with the view and sound of the sea. the water pressure in the showers is so great. the whole apartment is in good Quality. kitchen gears is in perfect shape with everything. Debs and Alan were only a whats app message away to assist us with anything. perfect place to the sea with lots of shops close by.

A beautiful apartment 🫶🏼 check-in was easy. We were afraid that we’d have lots of stairs to climb (because one of our guests does not use a lift) but the apartment is very easily accessible with only a few manageable stairs to get to the apartment. Debs and Alan’s place is spotlessly clean and the view is breathtaking, with easy access to the beach. Also made use of the pool area (a beautiful area to relax). The apartment was comfortable and kitted with all amenities.

Debs and Alan's place was beautiful , exceptionally well kept and very clean. Cleaning service was provided everyday. Alan was very accommodating, from an earlier check-in to sending the cleaning lady at our suitable times. Location and views from the unit was the best part of our stay at Marbella. This was by far one of the best places we've stayed at in umghlanga. Would definately want to return to 301 Marbella.

I can’t vouch highly enough for Marbella hosted by Debs as a location for a Durban holiday. Apart from being a large and immensely comfortable apartment with a magnificent sea and surroundings view, it is extremely well located for easy access to local malls, restaurants and shops. Debs was remarkably responsive and nothing was overlooked. Without question, we will seek to stay here again in future trips. I should add the cost of our stay, by comparison to lesser apartments and hotels, was extremely reasonable. Thank you for a tremendous stay!!

Debs and Allan are absolutely amazing hosts. The place was spotless clean, and even more beautiful than on the pictures. The view is 😍 Whatever time we needed something they were very quickly to respond and very helpfull !! We stayed here for 4 weeks to have some quality time with our daughter her husband and their little son who are living in South-Africa. And it felt really like a home. We would definitely come back here, we loved all of it!!

This place was fantastic & the views to die for! The property is essentially on the beach - you just have to walk down the stairs and you are right there - for those of us who never get enough of the ocean !:). Debs lacked respect and made us feel like intruders instead of guests .My holiday was Ruined on the very first day of arrival she met us with disrespect , racist tone and very condescending attitude towards my family and i. At one point of our conversation i had to tell her to stop because she was making me feel uncomfortable. Also, the main bedroom had mites/ bed bugs the first night we got bitten all night and didnt have a good sleep. Even though this was fixed the next part of my stay was spent been asked to give response to what had caused a stain to one of her towels ,honestly am out and about trying to see Durban and i have pending pressing enquiry from a host to explain cause of a stain from a towel. I found that to be absurd and very inconsiderate. The location its self is amazing,true boast of ocean views but the host’s attitute needs to change especially with the amount payed towards staying there, i feel more respect and honour should be put to guests.

This is a stunning location and apartment. As a family of 5, we had enough space for our long trip. The kitchen had everything we needed. The gas BBQ worked well and, given the great weather and beautiful view, was such a winner for us. The bedroom was spacious enough for us. The beds are comfortable, and air conditioning is welcome. There was no road noise. No noise from other apartments. The only sound was the lovely waves. Debs and Alan are fantastic, experienced hosts. They were quick to help, and when things in the area needed attention (water pipe burst up the road), they notified us and explained what it would mean and how it could affect us. Given the chance, we would, without a doubt, stay here again and again and again. Well done to the hosts and owner!

We had a great stay at Debs in Umhlanga. The apartment is perfectly located, front line ocean views with only the promenade between you and the Ocean. The apartment is very spacious with a great terrace. Everything is taken care of including dishwasher, washing machine, bbq etc. Location is great, a short walk to both the nature reserve and Umhlanga centre. Umhlanga is a great place. Feels very safe and has loads of great restaurants and bars. You can get loads of trips to places of interest and the Uber service is brilliant.

The apartment is well maintained for its age. Great facilities brai, and plenty of kitchen wear pots pans etc. daily service and was a bonus. Alan was amazing at responding to the couple of teething problems we had after checking in. Nothing was too much trouble. Very comfortable and roomy just as it looks on the web site.

Very nice and complete apartment. Stunning sea views. Directly on the hiking boulevard. This is also very safe in the evening due to the UIP surveillance. No moment not felt safe (in all Umhlanga). Very nice and quick communication with Alan and Debs. During loadshedding hours there is now electricity for most things in the apartment (not on the oven and washing machine). Nice Braai on the large balcony. Can definitely recommend the apartment.

Alan maintained correct and smooth communication with us and was particularly punctual. The house was exceptionally well equipped : coffee, tea, soap, washing powder and even beach towels. On request, extra cleaning could be done. The flat is spacious and very well located, in a safe neighborhood. The apartment did have some moisture, given the location on the sea. The view was beautiful and the spacious terrace with gasbbq (braai) very nice !

Location, location, location - beautiful views from patio - right on Bronze beach. Responsive host/manager. Minimal disruption with regard to load shedding as the apartment had an inverter. A most wonderful stay, right on the beachfront. View is spectacular - we ate all our meals on the verandah which also had a gas BBQ and 2 sun lounges. Waves lulled us to sleep at night. Very well appointed apartment, serviced daily. Extremely comfortable. Pool downstairs was glorious. Gate downstairs to popular Umhlanga walkway which provided easy access to beaches, town and forest walk. Debs and Alan were extremely helpful and responsive hosts. It was sad to leave. The apartment is right on the beach with access to the promenade and swimming beach. We loved having our breakfast on the balcony with the ocean view and a barbecue in the evenings. Beautiful apartment, location and full ocean views. The balcony only gets morning sun (or at least in July) which can make the apartment cooler in winter, however I expect this to be a welcomed reprieve from the summer heat. Debs's place is certainly a jewel. A place where one can relax, and reconnect with one's self and nature. Spacious, thoughtfully designed with every tiny detail taken care of. More than that the care, communication, and general humanity that Debs and Alan showed made the trip most memorable. The memories that my family takes with us will be treasured until we visit Debs beautiful place again.

Debs and Allan are the perfect hosts. Our every need was met and the extra little touches like a steady supply of Nespresso pods make all the difference. The location was fabulous and we really enjoyed our stay!

Debbie and Alan are always great hosts . The only downside was the water interruption which of course was not our hosts fault. We will always book with theses hosts.

Lovely unit, conveniently situated with easy access to the beach with lifeguards on duty. Shops and restaurants are close by. The unit is spacious and was serviced daily. Thanks Debs and Alan, we had a great time and will definitely stay there again.

Debs and Alan are incredibly hospitable when it comes to hosting. Everything was perfect and efficient as well as a warm and hearty welcome. The location of the unit is second to none. The lady responsible for cleaning the unit was just as efficient and friendly.

We loved our stay in Umhlanga. The view from this lovely condo was perfect. We loved being on the 3rd floor as we didn't have to get the lift. The condo/apt is spacious and light. Lovely bedrooms with very comfy beds. The showers were amazing. What you would expect at a Spa/resort. The Nespresso machine was really a hit. Alan and Debs are the greatest hosts. This is our second time staying at Marbella. Already looking forward to our third.

What a great unit! Beautifully positioned with a panoramic view of the ocean. Spotlessly clean and comfortable. Great beds and pillows, a real family-sized fridge and excellent water pressure are just a few of the features we enjoyed. Thank you for a lovely stay.

You can not go wrong by choosing to stay in this wonderful home. The direct beach access is a bonus when you have young kids who can’t get enough of the sand and sea. Pics do not do justice to what a great home this is.

Great location - back gate opens onto the Umhlanga promenade and a swimming beach. Quite spacious for a beachfront property. Coffee machine + pods was a great extra. Overall loved the place and felt it was good value for money.

The apartment was gorgeous, right on the beachfront with direct access to the promenade and beach. It was so enjoyable to be able to sit on the patio and enjoy the sounds of the sea while having our meals. We were met at the apartment by our host, and communication was excellent. We were so well looked after by our hosts, and the apartment was fully serviced every day ensuring that by the time we had to leave, we were thoroughly relaxed and ready to book our return visit.

The unit is perfectly located right in front of Bronze Beach. Direct access to the promenade and onto the beach from an access controlled gate. The unit is super clean and the kitchen has plenty of utensils for self catering. Restaurants and shops a 5 min drive away. The hosts are very welcoming, not intrusive but you know you can reach them anytime you need to.

Location location location! Located on the promenade, all shops and restaurants are walking distance and you can't get closer to the beach. Apartment is modern, clean, spacious and fully equipped. Beds are comfy, gorgeous deck overlooking the ocean. We could not ask for a better stay. Hosts kept in contact about arrival time and were waiting to open for us when we got there. Had the best restaurant recommendations and made sure everything was to our liking. Won't look at staying anywhere else when we visit Umhlanga again!

Great place! Directly the next to the beach (with life guards). Nice porch with a great view and gas braaier. Clean, good tips on what to do, everything was perfect! Some great restaurants is about 5min walk way, others 5min drive away.

I can not recommend this place enough. We enjoyed a long weekend in Debs apartment and the only complaint we had is that we couldn’t stay longer! The apartment is absolutely stunning, so clean (and cleaned daily too, what a win!). The location is incredible - walk out the gate of the apartment block and your feet are in the sand within about 20 seconds - I feel like the photos and description don’t actually portray exactly how close you are to the sea and how beautiful this place is! There was absolutely nothing we wished we had at the apartment that wasn’t there. Every single thing has been thought of and you can easily see that Debs and Alan are so proud of their place. We felt so welcomed from the second we started the booking process until we left when Alan told us he’s keeping “our” apartment ready for us to come back ☺️ The braais we enjoyed at night while the waves were crashing just in front of us, was exactly what we wanted. We absolutely cannot wait to head back to you - thank you for being wonderful hosts and for letting these 3 single moms and kids have an opportunity to just relax and fill our souls. I wish I could give more than 5 stars for every aspect x

Marbella 301 is truly the whole package . The apartment is well equipped and contains everything you could need and more.The rooms are spacious with lots of cupboard space and every inch of the flat is squeaky clean .Upon arrival we were given hand sanitizer and a disinfectant spray . The location is ideal as shopping centers and restaurants are within walking distance. The view is the best Durban has to offer and we spotted whales and dolphins numerous times ( Debs was kind enough to teach us how to spot them ) . Alan and Debs are spectacular hosts ; the best me and my family have ever experienced by far . They were always available at a moment's notice and made our stay extra special with their generous hospitality. I highly recommend Marbella 301 and we will definitely be returning.

We absolutely loved our stay here! We couldn't have asked for better! The view was spectacular we didnt want to leave the apartment, we even added extra nights at the end! Debs and Alan were amazing and was able to assist at every request. We would absolutely go back and we recommend it to everyone!
