First and foremost, the accommodation was absolutely immaculate. What I also loved was that it was more than fully equipped: obviously, it had the standard kettle, toaster, microwave, oven but it also had a coffee machine, milk sachets in the fridge, blenders, things needed to bake, a washing machine and dryer. The additional DVD player (with films), a full bookcase, colouring equipment, Netflix, children's books and games was fabulous. Sofas and beds were comfy, bedding and towels were of excellent quality and the two bathrooms were much appreciated. The onsite parking, along with the handy location means we will definitely stay again. There is scaffolding on the building next door which is unsightly and prevents 2 cars fitting in, but for us, this wasn't a massive problem. Communication with the letting team was excellent and replies to queries we had were speedily answered. The one issue we had was that the walls are paper thin and the noise from the bar/apartments behind was so loud I could even hear it through ear plugs. All in all, a fabulous holiday apartment with everything you could possibly need.

Be warned. They charge you a £10 fee for the privilege of paying a £250 damages deposit, on top of paying the entire non refundable fee for your stay up front the moment you book.

We loved this place, everything seemed new and was so clean. Fixtures and fittings really high quality, good location and value for money. We would definitely stay again

This was a really well placed house to stay in, walking distance into Whitby town centre, the beach etc. Easy to get to the cinder track for longer walks and a good spot for the museum, park and other attractions. Lots of space for us all.

A wonderful little cottage, Harbour cottage in Staithes was clean, modernised but still 'cottagey' and ideally located near the bottom end of Staithes. Parking is an issue in Staithes because, even though you are allowed 40 mins free parking to unload etc, it is hard to get a space. Apparently it is possible to pre-book a space. The main issue with the cottage, however, was the foisty smell, which may be a problem with these cottages. Also, put towels down on the floor if you have a shower because the shower door is certainly not watertight. The hot water in the sinks only seems to get hot if you don't put the tap on full. It was nice to get a message from host and stay in the evening telling us that we didn't have to vacate the next day until 12pm and not 10am as previously stated.

I can't help feeling some of the negative comments on this apartment are unnecessarily petty. As long as you have sensible, realistic expectations and don't live in Windsor Castle you'll love this place as much as we did. It's a great apartment (the magnificent Zetland Hotel that had its own railway platform for its guests, remnants of which are still there) in a beautiful location and an ideal place to stay if you want to explore the town and surrounding area. We had a minor hold up in collecting the keys (our fault!) but after one phone call it was sorted out within ten minutes. Smashing.

Terrible, should be 0 stars, the company have terrible customer service skills, assuming everyone is using the property as a party place and out to damage it, You must pay either a damage waiver of £25 on top of the rental price ir provide a £150 + £10 damage deposit which may or may not be refunded in 7+ days. Property suffers damp and possibly dangerous mould, bedding was not clean, beds are queen not double so not large enough for 4 adults as described and parking permit was not provided so free parking was not provided

The property was in a good location for all the popular sites. It had a well stocked kitchen of cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery. Had a dishwasher and 2 bathrooms. Private parking and local food shops, crazy golf and petrol station. Quiet area, but it is overlooked at all sides of the property Customer services responded quickly by phone and email The beds were so uncomfortable. Bring or use one of their duvets to make a topper as the sprung mattress is not sprung anymore We had no hot water for 2.5 days, which the agency knew about but didn’t tell us, but hoped the temporary fix would last. A valve needed replacing, but got it in the end The power shower is tired and just is not up to the task. It’s either scolding hot or freezing cold. Very temperamental The pillows, too fat or too thin, bring your own. They also have no pillow protector on them The blinds are not great. Don’t really provide heat or block out the sun. Either use day or night blinds. Or just curtains

Our stay at The Cobbles Osmotherly was simply superb. Every detail was well thought by the host. We have booked multiple homestay's over the last decade here in the English countryside. This was right up there with the best. Lovely house, lovely location and an eye for detail made our holiday absolutely wonderful. Thank you to the whole team.

As a group of five couples we stayed at The Old Brewery for our annual walking holiday. The Old Brewery is ideally situated in Richmond which has a diverse range of shops and restaurants to cater for all needs. It is also handily placed for access to fantastic walks in Swaledale and Wensleydale. The Old Brewery itself is a well-appointed spacious house ideal for groups of 10-12 people. A main reason for choosing this property was that we wanted each couple to have their own shower/bathroom. We had a very enjoyable stay which was marred by problems with the plumbing. In late August a month before our stay I noticed a review which complained that two of the showers did not supply any hot water. I emailed Host & Stay, with whom I had booked, to ensure that the problem had been rectified. I was assured that the showers were now operating correctly so had no further concerns. However, when we arrived two of the showers were both running cold. In addition, on our arrival, we found water covering the floor of one of the en-suite shower rooms which was coming from a leaking toilet. I immediately phoned Host & Stay to report the problem and was told that they would arrange for a plumber to attend. Whether the plumber came or not I do not know, but at that end of our stay the toilet was still leaking. These problems did detract somewhat from an otherwise enjoyable stay. I have emailed Host & Stay for a response but after several days still have had no reply. Given my experiences I certainly will not be using Host & Stay again and cannot recommend them.

Saltburn was a really nice place to stay for the weekend good coffee shops & restaurant’s & amazing coastal walks. The accommodation was a let down & it would not take much to make it excellent it was very well equipped very clean. But the bed was very comfortable it was like sleeping on an ironing board & the blinds in the bedroom let in to much light from the street lighting. Also the damp walls in the bathroom left the whole place smelling awful. I see that these three problems have been highlighted by other people renting this accommodation. So it’s a shame that the owner does not address these problems. And this would be the only reason I would not rebook it in the future.

Nice, spacious house. Well equipped and excellent location. Driveway quite narrow, bushes could do with being trimmed back.

Apartment in Pickering is well located in the city centre so you can reach everything by foot. It is nicely decorated and we enjoyed our time. Be mindful that on street parking is restricted to 1h from 8am-6pm and there is a £10 admin charge for a damage deposit they take.
