Fabulous cottage in Saltburn; the photos don’t do it justice actually. We loved our stay here, it’s got everything you need and really homely. Lots of lovely touches like books and pictures plus a well equipped kitchen. We felt instantly at home.

We had booked 2 apartments for a family wedding in saltburn. Althought the apartments were great, the service we received was shocking. One apartment was cancelled by the company when the host, had decided 6 months into the booking that they were no longer taking guests. Host and Stay didn't book another apartment, we were passed from pillar to post. Wasn't until we queried that we had no booking confirmation regarding keys etc a week before the wedding that they had only one apartment for us with 2 beds(we had 10 adults), we had to book another one and pay again, even though it wasn't confirmed if we had our money back from the first one. On route to the new booking we got a call from the rest of the party that it hadn't even been cleaned, dirty linen and bottles everywhere -no apologies throughout. It was lucky that the nice apartments made up for it.

The unit is nicely furnished and mostly very clean (some dishes being the notable exception). There were only a couple of downsides. The unit is advertised as having off-street parking, but the space is very small and extremely hard to get out of. The neighbor was nice enough to move her car the first morning so I could get out, but after that ended up needing to find street parking so I would not be stuck. The internet was not configured as was documented, so I had to contact the managing company to ask what to do. I left two messages and they never responded, but I did figure out a workaround with the Wi-Fi. One minor issue was that there’s no shelf in the shower, so nowhere to put soap or shampoo but the floor.

We have just enjoyed a fabulous stay at the 'Vermont' house in Marske-by-the-Sea, the house has a modern feeling with all the facilities you would need. This was our first stay at this property having stayed at 'The Tardis' last year, and can honestly say they are both a delight with a lovely garden for our dog to relax in. This time around, we met the owner Mark, who was a lovely chap with plenty of advice on places to visit. The beach is a short walk from the property which is glorious and dog friendly all year round. The local shops have all that you could need for food shopping, takeaways and general shopping too. Whilst there are a host of places to visit, including Redcar, Staithes and Whitby. I would definitely recommend and would also visit again.

On the whole Host & Stay were incredibly efficient being in regular contact. I love the link you get sent that has all the property details regards entry, exit, local transport etc all within one easy web page, very helpful. My only negative is the insurance waiver. Being faced with either paying a one time non refundable £25 or a £250 security deposit with non refundable £10 transaction fee was not a welcome addition. I would have rather the £25 had been added to the booking at the time of receiving the quote as opposed to it being an unwelcome added extra which I wasn't keen to pay.

Very nice apartment with easy access and parking near the property. The apartment was spacious and comfortable and near the beach and local shops and restruants.

The Oyster Cottage in Whitby was clean and modern and we enjoyed our stay. Had hoped the bedrooms would be a bit larger with more storage space for our clothes. There was hardly anywhere to put your clothes bar a small amount of hanging space, there were no drawers in one of the double rooms. The parking is a bit ridiculous, it’s very very tight. The garden space is so-so. But we did like spending time in the living space on the top level, albeit a shame the double doors cannot be fully opened without impacting your view of the TV as they don’t open flush against the walls. Neighbouring units all seem to be short term rentals. Approx 40 steps to the property and more inside as the property is set over 3 levels but that didn’t affect us. Would recommend as it’s clean and modern, good comms with the management comoany, situated in a good location and felt safe, you just have to be a confident driver for the parking and be ok with steps.

The place was ok, but, thanks to Host and Stay, do not for one minute suspect that the price you end up paying bears any relation to the advertised price. Everything is extra, but not optional. I tried to get an overview of what it would actually cost, but got bombarded with confusing emails instead. I will do my best to avoid Host and Stay in the future.

What an amazing property in a lovely village with close proximity to many places. The pubs were also great, eating in the Wheatsheaf twice. The bedrooms were so comfortable and the garden so pretty with great views. The whole property was to a high standard, we loved it. Would definitely recommend .

Beautiful comfortable surroundings and furniture esp beds. Only thing we didn’t like was the pictures. Very dated and just so many they were a bit disconcerting. The children were a bit scared . Could do with being a little more modern but that’s personal preference

Really beautiful cottage right in the heart of Whitby, only two mins from all the shops and bars but was very peaceful. Very modern and clean with fantastic amenities. Only thing to note was accessibility as the only entrance was on a steep cobbled slope, no issue for us but felt worth adding. We loved our stay!!!

Stayed for 3 nights at Tulip Cottage. Lovely cosy little cottage near Bambrough. Spotlessly clean throughout. Very comfy bed. Beautiful location. Staff were amazing when I managed to lose my key. Can't praise them too highly. We will certainly use Host and Stay again. Highly recommended.

Worthy of a definite five stars in every respect in our opinion. Booking and subsequent communication regarding arrival and checking in was straightforward. Lavender Cottage offers home from home, well appointed and comfortable accommodation.

Stayed in Badgers Cottage, Saltburn by the sea as family of 4 adults and 2 kids. It was lovely, very spacious beautifully laid out kitchen. The small accompaniment of Bread and coffee was very welcomed after the drive there. Its a quiet area with bus right outside the pub to go Whitby or middlesborough. The pub Queens arms does a lovely spread. Proper good scran and well enjoyed after day at the beach. Most of saltburn is dog friendly and its and absolute joy. Definitely going back again.

The house was beautiful, very clean and well equipped. The beds were amazingly comfortable. A couple of minute drive to Cayton Bay beach and 15 minutes to Scarborough. Our 2 grandsons wanted to live there forever!! We will definitely be back.

We stayed in The Birds Nest in Whitby and first impressions were good. However, once we sat and looked around it became a little less impressive. The dust on the surfaces was so thick I left a trail with me finger. The sink and drainer were dirty and some things just looked a bit tired. The apartment complex looks like it has money spent on it and the bonus of a parking space drew us to it but it’s either been finished cheaply or the cleaners and maintenance people are just not very good. The location seemed wonderful as it’s away from the amusement side of Whitby and was a nice ten min walk into the town but the first night was horrific. The windows might as well not be there as they don’t block out any sound from the road below and there seems to be an unsavoury band of boy racers that drive around in a circuit blowing out their exhausts on purpose until 1am on both nights we were there. Couldn’t sleep. Also, two of the windows have no covering so it’s bright from about 4am. We were so tired by the time we left instead of feeling refreshed. Also, this company bombard you constantly with emails, I must have had 15 before we arrived and at least 3 whilst we were there for the 2 nights. We also paid £25 accidental damage insurance so that they didn’t take a huge deposit. I wouldn’t bother next time, they ought to be refunding us for a pretty rubbish experience. Whitby itself is stunning. Loads of chip shops, loads of lovely cafes and bars. Cute shops and the Abbey is a must visit, Whitby brewery too.

The apartment was located right next to the castle and had everything on your doorstep
