The booking process was easy and we were provided with a great deal of timely information via email. On arrival we parked near to the property as the town was quiet and we found the property easily. First impressions were that the property has been renovated to a high standard and it was very warm and cosy. It was actually too warm at one point and we adjusted the heat by turning down radiators as the heating programmer seemed to be set and not changeable, possibly deliberately. On arrival I did receive a 'first impressions' review email and this may sound petty but I always look up when walking into a holiday rental property. As with most places this property did have a few easily removable cobwebs, above the oven and in the bathroom. Issues which are more personal and a matter of choice, we did (like others) find the sofa uncomfortable. The bed was a little too hard for us but again just personal choice. We did find the toilet seat loose which I would have tightened if there had been a screwdriver in the property. Additionally one of the two table chairs had previously had a bottom strut broken which someone has tried to glue back in. As soon as we moved the chair it came apart so was unusable. It will be interesting to see what happens to the adjoining property, currently an empty shop, and there was a constant hum from an industrial unit at the back which I think was linked to the Chinese Takeaway. I do not like noise but this last element did not disturb me. We use a lot of holiday rentals and these negatives really are very minor and really didn't bother us but are offered to the owners for feedback and for full information to future renters. We would definitely return and will recommend to others. Needless to say Pateley Bridge and the surrounding area is just fantastic and the locals are great.

Hi, We all loved our stay at Highfield House , it had everything we needed for a wonderful time. Just one small point.,.the lawn had quite a lot of dog phoo from a previous visitor, we did try clearing it out,, but found it quite difficult.. We had to bag the rubbish and leave by the bins, as they were full on our arrival. Ok, two small points, but this did not spoil our stay, and we would stay again.Ron Prescott

2 College Square, Stokesley - We had a fabulous festive stay, this cottage was located in the heart of town, it was comfortable, spacious set on three flours and clean. We particularly liked the close proximity to restaurants and shops. The decorations were a nice touch and welcome, and the online guide book was a great feature with all the key information we needed for a smooth stay. We would 100% recommend Host & Stay - Thank you!

A very pleasant well equipped holiday home which was as a great base for us to explore the local area and visit family and friends. The football pitch behind acted as great entertainment on match day for my son and husband! We found the garden a challenge with our dogs as it was so boggy even on the dry days, so I assume it must have been very wet prior to our arrival. We couldn’t really use it as the poor dogs would then spend an hour or so drying off fully in their crate before we could let them out again so we took to short walks for their toilet brakes of a morning/evening instead. Would definitely recommend to others though as the house itself was really lovely and provided a comfortable stay.

A very comfortable stay at Sands Walk Cottage. Well equipped with everything we needed. Parking next to the property on the drive, a bonus. A very quiet area. 5 to 10 mins walk to Shops Cafes and Bars. A beautiful beach and coastline within same walking distance. Would definitely recommend and we would stay again.

Erg leuk appartement. Wij waren met 2 koppels daar en hadden gekozen voor appartement op verdieping 3. Contact op voorhand met de host was goed. Zij vragen op voorhand nog wel naar een borgsom. 2 grote kamers met elke kame een aparte toilet voorziening. De Douch bevindt zich gelijk bij de ingang naast de eerste slaapkamer. Dan moet je met de trap omhoog om in een knusse verblijf te komen waar een keuken is met kookplaat, koelkast, oven, koffiezetter etc. Als je dat verblijf weer aan de achterkant verlaat ga je weer met een trap naar beneden waar zich de tweede kamer zich bevindt. Het appartement bevindt zich in een rustige straat en je loopt in 8 minuten midden dor de stad. Veel restaurants en pups om zich heen.

Amazing apartment central to Harrogate town centre and with off street parking. Extremely comfortable and finished to a very high standard with a fully equipped kitchen. Very quiet location with lots of amenities close by. We will be back again very soon.

Lovely place. We were a group of 10 and the space was more than enough, the customer service of Host and Stay was great as they immediately attended to our queries by text or call. Anything that could be improved would probably be to add a dishwasher in the kitchen and to provide 2 parking permits instead of 1 considering that the place accommodates 10-12 persons. Overall, it was a great place and I would definitely go back.

Excellent sea front property, well equipped, comfortable beds, lovely views and a few steps from Clara’s coffee shop. Great location to access the town and lots of free parking during the off-season. Possibly not suitable for those with mobility issues as property as accessible via 3 flights of stairs. We will definitely return

Brilliant stay at 11 bakehouse cottage in December. It was absolutely beautiful, high quality furnishings and very tasteful decor throughout. Lovely little welcome pack, coffee machine and milk in fridge. Bedroom 1 upstairs and bedroom 2 up more stairs so no good for people with mobility issues, although I managed and I have knee problems. The beds were so comfortable with plenty of pillows and TV in rooms 👍. Bathroom was stunning, free standing bath (if only my knees weren't bad!), but everyone else used it and said the TV in bathroom was a bonus. Free standing shower was brilliant, loads of towels. The whole place was spotless. It had a wood burner, but we didn't use it as the heating was great and Whitby wasn't cold! Location was excellent, convenient for everything. There are steps up to the cottage and No parking at the cottage. We had an amazing stay, was really great to have somewhere so beautiful to stay. Would recommend and would stay again.
