I had high hopes for our stay in Liverpool at Host & Stay but was disappointed overall. First the collection of keys was about half a mile walk from the apartment, when traveling for 10 hours from USA and lugging heavy suitcases with 3 children this is not convenient nor helpful. We got to the apartment and the elevator was broken, which no one told us prior to arrival so we had to also then lug very heavy suitcases up 2 flights of stairs. When arriving inside we found there was no spare key set which they are fairly adamant has to be placed back or you will be charged. I called immediately to be told they didn’t know where the spare key set was and we would just have to deal with 1 set of keys for the night. They also mentioned they would be in touch the next day to provide. They never got in touch nor called or emailed back so we went 3 days with having 1 set of keys between 5 of us. If someone wanted to go back early we all had to go. The apartment itself was neat and clean, however the reservation said 5 people were staying and we were only provided 3 towels for showering. The heat regulation was tough to control, to hot or to cold with no directions on how to work anything. Overall after a long journey from the states it would have been nice to be told about some of the above from a convenience perspective, especially given how strict their waivers and what they charge for deposits etc.

Se stayed for a few days in Liverpool. The apartment was perfect, well furnished and equipped. Located in a quite and well served area, it is also convenient for reaching the centre. We all love it.

We had a great time at the penthouse and communication from the company was frequent . We had a small issue working the heating, but the team were quick to respond to my query and were able to tell me the resolution . Made the perfect base for our weekend :) thanks again x

Modern apartment in Liverpool. Good location. Comfy bed. Sofa bed comfy enough. Good storage. There was an issue with our balcony door (it didn't lock, and when it was closed it had a gap). Because we were right next to concert square it was quite loud and woke me up a couple times. Some of the floorboards in the bedroom are bent upwards - potential injury hazard. Dining table was fine but the two other chair side tables are very wobbly and flimsy. Living space needed a hoover, but everything else inside was clean. The balcony was scruffy and had cigarette butts on the floor. The heating automatically turns down which wasn't great with the draft. Very rarely saw people on the front desk. And on arrival we had to ring 4 times before someone came to the door. We tried to get in the door but we didn't know you had to press # before getting in. Overall - It's modern but feels rushed and we didn't like how little we saw staff. It's nice to know there is someone there in person 24/7. But if you want to be right next to the nightlife then it's good. But we wouldn't stay here again

Just back from a mid-week trip to Liverpool with my two lads aged 11 & 13. Stayed 3 nights in host and stay and found it terrific. Only a 5 minute walk from Liverpool one bus station and Lime Street station. The apartment is brand new and very comfortable and super clean.Was able to connect my Disney plus account easily to the TV and catch up with some star wars! Lots of restaurants and shops nearby and the nightlife looked like it was rocking. Only down side was travelling with younger kids, the music was very loud and started about 5pm. This went on till probably around 3 am even on a Wednesday night. But in every other aspect, I found the host and stay on Fleet Street to be excellent and will definitely stay again. Wayne Mull

A lovely cosy ver clean cottage . Just right for a short stay in winter. Everything was ready for us and the location was great. It was great to have our own parking space.

Amazing location, a 5 minute walk from Liverpool city centre. 2 minute walk from the rail way station. Lots of clean towels and bedding, rooms were spacious and plenty of amenities. Hosts were absolutely amazing and couldn’t do more to help. Group of 5 adults stayed with plenty of room. Will definitely be back great value for money.

Management company is a disaster They kept me waiting for more than 40 mins to get the check in instructions. On a Friday evening which should be peak time for them. They also charge you a mandatory fee regardless whether you want or not insurance from them. If you dont get insurance they charge you a deposit handling fee anyway. The deposit is 250gbp which i think doesn't show anywhere But the main issue is that the heater on the house was on a timer so switched off every 2-3h. Outside was 0 degrees and the house at 1 point below 15 degrees.. I called the management company around 5 times during the weekend and they totally ignored me. They did actually nothing and we had a bad experience there Very unimpressed about how the management of the property is done

The place I stayed at with Host and Stay in Staines was great. The location was good and the kitchen was well equipped. In addition the train station was also just a short walk. Super convenient and a great all around stay.

Really great stay. Perfect location if you have a big group and want to visit Liverpool. Very clean. The team were able and willing to help us with whatever we needed and this lead to us having a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Thank you! Ewan
