Great dog friendly apartment just a short walk from the town. Clean spacious and well equipped with the added bonus of a front garden and parking space. Highly recommend!

Not even one star. We had a booking since January for a long weekend with family in Whitby. I received a message the day before we were due to travel to say there had been a “maintenance issue” and they had to cancel our booking, and also they had no where else for us to stay. This was extremely stressful as Whitby in August is pretty full! They said they would cancel and refund our booking but I’m still waiting for the refund. Absolutely awful. Do not book through them!

Great stay as a group of 5 (me + husband and our 6-yr old + in-laws) at Oliver's Den in Alnwick. Great location within walking distance of Barter Books and the centre of Alnwick. The house was spacious with immaculate rooms and everything you could need was there. Communication with Host & Stay was quick, friendly and helpful.

This place was a diamond find! The house was immaculate, nicely decorated, fully equipt for everyday needs and the little touches didn't go unnoticed (baskets of blankets, Amazon stick for the TV, cleaning products/condiments) Use of a dishwasher, washing machine, ironing board, a wide range of kitchen utensils, towels, hair dryer, remote controlled ceiling panel heaters, WiFi available. Private parking fully secure onsite, at the back of the garden. I simply can't fault this place, whether your looking for a family get away or somewhere to entertain friends for the week. The beach is a 2min car journey away, with amusements and resturants. Plenty of take aways close by and a small coop within walking distance or a big Morrisons 2minutes down the road in the car. I would most certainly, highly recommend booking a stay here if visiting the area. Places to visit in the Area: Seaburn beach 3min drive Ocean Beach Pleasure Park 11min drive Angel of the North 30min drive Chesters Roman Fort and Museum - Hadrian's Wall 1hr drive away Overall 10/10

On arriving at the property, the lock was broken and we were unable to gain access. The owners to be fair tried their best, but couldn’t fix the lock that evening. Host and Stay said they would find alternative accommodation, however they did not and did nothing to help. We had to find our own accommodation, at 9.00 at night, stressful and very inconvenient. No one from Host and Stay checked to see if we were ok. We did get into the property the following day and that was fine. However, Host and Stay did not resolve the matter to my satisfaction, only refunding a part of one night’s rental as well as the alternative rental we had to pay. Their “goodwill” was a measly 15% discount on a future booking. Why on earth would I book again with this company which treated us so uncaringly? Clearly, they do not care about their reputation. My one star is purely a reflection of Host and Stay’s treatment of us and not a reflection on the property.

The most stunning apartment - immaculately presented, spotlessly clean and every possible amenity. And the location and view — surely amongst the best in the city! Clear instructions and communication before and during our stay. We had the happiest time, and could not recommend highly enough. Thank you.

The Old Antique Shop in Holt, Norfolk was a really comfortable stay and a great location for exploring the coast. We had everything we needed and the beds were really comfortable. We were a group of 5 adults and we had plenty of space to be together and our own space if needed. There was a parking space for one car provided but to be aware any other vehicles would need to pay for parking or try and get limited street parking. We would return again.

A very comfortable house with everythng we needed for our stay. The house was clean and well maintained, and well equipped. Very close to the seafront and the beach, and also close to the shops. Newbiggin is a lovely, unspoilt seaside town. We were happy to spend almost all our time there, but we did have a lovely trip to Housesteads Roman Fort and Hadrian's Wall. We will definitely book again!
