Just back from a fantastic week at 405 Sea View Road Fantastic position looking out to sea from the lounge and veranda. Perfect place to watch the sun come up with a morning cuppa. Chalet has all amenities you could ask for and is spotlessly clean. Beds and sofa very comfortable. Got a good nights sleep every night. You can be on the beach within 2 minutes. Parking is just 30 seconds away. Bridlington just a short drive away too. Or a 20-30 min walk along the beach or prom. Theres also the land train running every 20 minutes starting from 10am just down from the Park and Ride Hoping this place is available next year as I’d recommend it to anyone.

Location is Ropewalks Quarters in Liverpool City Centre. The location was very good, right by the town centre, but overall we were disappointed with our stay. I asked before arriving if the property would have basics like salt and pepper and was told yes, not a problem if not as we'll go and get but there wasn’t any on arrival. Why say yes? The en suite bathroom had poor ventilation and a strong damp smell. Communication wasn’t great to be honest a couple of times I was told on the messages “see attached picture” but no pictures were actually attached, and when I pointed this out it was ignored. During the stay I was repeatedly sent generic messages about fines for lost keys, etc which felt unnecessary and a bit intrusive. The garage door often got stuck and needed several attempts to close and reopen. At the end of our stay, we were offered a discount code for future stays, but the booking link was removed, making it unusable. The stay felt impersonal, with generic automated messages and little attention to detail. The location was convenient but property issues and communication let the experience down. 2/5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hosts had thought of absolutely everything, including for our one yr old. The place was immaculate and everything was new and fresh. We definitely would recommend staying with Host & Stay’s Robins nest.

We really enjoyed our stay. the cottage had everything we needed. Once we got used to the narrow road leading up the the cottage we were fine. Loved the area and was so easy to get to Seahouses and Bamburgh.

We had a great week at Sands Walk Cottage. Lovely and clean with a secure garden for the dogs. Everything we needed was provided and it was a great location with easy access to the beach via a wooded track which took about 10 minutes walking. Host and Stay were very good with communication and I am sure if there had been a problem they would have dealt with it in a timely fashion.

Absolutely gorgeous place to stay. Really beautifully kitted out, with lots of space. There are 3 double rooms, all ensuite with super comfy beds and showers that work well. And there is a hot tub! The only small issues we had was a loud noise in one of the rooms when water was being run (hidden boiler somewhere?) and the WiFi signal was weak on the TV so buggered when trying to watch. Neither of these things were big issues though and I would definitely stay here again. Had a really lovely time.

Beautifuly placed in the middle of golf course as me and my boy played golf there. Place is nice and comfortable. Great living space. Big sofa. Kitchen stocked really well, lot better then most places I've stayed at. Could've done with more than 2 dishwasher tabs though as we stayed for 10 days. Great that you have own parking space and really good outdoor space. Really close to th beach. One negative was the shower...you couldn't get the water normal temperature. One of the bathrooms hot water just kept turning off every 10sec and other you either burn yourself or freeze. Definitely needs sorting. I would consider staying again in the future.

This building is totally unsuitable as a let owing to the staircase being is a safety hazard owing to the width of the tread Pensioners and anyone with leg, knee or hip problems will have great difficulty climbing up to the bedrooms. The bath has no safety handles. The local council would not allow this building to be rented out but I am sure they have not been informed of its current use.

This property was beautifully furnished and decorated, in an absolutely stunning location right next to Whitby Abbey, entirely suitable for 4 adults/3 nights. The views over the town and the Abbey behind were wonderful. There was a patio and comfy outdoor furniture near the house, quite a sun trap! - and a huge grassy garden. May not be suitable for less mobile, as there’s a stiff climb down/up the 199 steps into town! Though I only counted 191! (Driving is of course an option.) I wanted to give the property 4.75 stars- 4 seems a bit mean - but there was a concern, i.e. that the lovely big kitchen really ought to be better equipped in terms of pots/pans/ crockery etc. You would be very hard pressed to cook a meal for 4 with the few utensils available! If families were staying longer, I’m sure that could be an issue. I hope the property rectifies this small but important concern, as it was fabulous in every other respect.
