The property we stayed in was lovely and generally well-kept. I'd return again since it was well-priced and in a lovely area only a 15 minute walk from Lake Windermere. However, when we arrived, it was obvious the cleaning wasn't very thorough (there was chocolate on the floor which was gross). They also didn't have basic cooking ingredients like salt, pepper and cooking oil, which I'd expect in a holiday let kitchen. They also didn't have any toiletries at all, such as shampoo or conditioner. I'd give 3.5 stars if I could, as these weren't terrible faults, but I can't give 4 stars to a holiday let that doesn't properly clean.

Stayed at the Sanderling Chase - Scarborough I'll start with the only little negatives, change the key lock, its an absolute nightmare to work out how to use or maybe send instructions on how to use. I had to download the manual to figure it out and also the stairs are steep, fine for me at my age but imagine for older parties it would be too much. The apartment itself could not be faulted, very well equip and organised. Everything was fresh and really clean. Would 100% stay again. Close to shops, centre and pubs. Park outside was limited but wasnt an issue, Sainsbury's just around the corner cost us £14 for the 3 days to park there. Overall a great stay. Will be back. Thanks

We stayed at the old Chapel flat 2 for 7 nights with our 3 grandchildren. Everything was spotlessly clean. The beds were very comfy. The sofas were a bit low for us older folk to get out of. The welcome pack was a lovely surprise..everything thought out. Had a lovely holiday staying in the apartment. We feel that the local area does not cater for disabled people during school holidays. Not enough disabled parking spaces available. Getting to the beach was also made difficult as the lift to get down to the beach was out of action. This obviously disappointed our grandchildren. We ended up driving to Saltburn by the sea every day instead…

Toilet panels are broken, and the drain of shower room is blocked. Generally the house is good and big enough.

Accommodation was beautiful, very tranquil and relaxing, had a visit from owner dog who was lovely. Had a little problem with heating and internet but owner came straight away and fixed it right away. Accommodation was really nicely decorated.

This cottage is in a very convenient position in the village with its own parking spot. The interior is clean and modern but my husband and I found the positioning of the couch to be uncomfortable as the tv was too high on the wall and the main part of the couch was at an angle, straining our necks. This was probably just a personal issue. There were a couple of niggly things the room needed though. The clock on the wall had no battery although the clock on the oven did show the time and there wasn't anything to cook with i.e. salt and pepper, a bit of oil or kitchen roll. There were a couple of plastic strips containing milk in the fridge and a couple of tea bags. All in all it felt a bit unwelcoming, especially receiving a text a couple of hours of arrival stating that if we wanted to arrive early, it would cost an extra £40. We have holidayed in cottages for years and have always found them to be homely with, quite often, a welcome pack. We don't expect that and it's always a nice surprise, but a pint of milk in the fridge would have been nice. Thornton le Dale is highly recommended though.

Stayed in the basement apartment .. down the concrete steps the handrail was lose at the bottom. Into the property , bedroom on the left .. large double bedroom, double bed was low to the ground but the bed was comfy. Living room off the hallway .. No pull out sofa bed but there was 2 small “camp” style beds available to put up in the living room area .. not ideal if more than 2 of you staying and the other guests sleep in this area .. kitchen and bathroom off the living room and adequate for the stay. Outside terrace off the patio doors within the living room . In general the whole apartment does need a really good deep clean and anything I noticed was damaged or not quite right, I made a note of and advised the host by email and included photos . All in all a pleasant stay at this apartment but we discovered it was little bit too far out of Brighton for us to enjoy it fully. Please also note the building this apartment is in, is on the top of a steep hill.

Central location and providing a residential parking permit are perfect to disvover Canterbury. Most features of that historic house are charming, but be aware that those steep narrow staicases ar not for everyone.

Lovely apartment in Whitby . All within walking distance of pubs, restaurants and beach. Dog friendly apartment. Apartment was clean with everything you would need. Clear instructions how to access the apartment. Lovely view of the bay.

Beautiful and calm stay in central Liverpool, with full équipement and neat cleaniness. However, more explanations about how to pick apartment keys should be provided in host message, and the covertible sofa is uncomfortable and should be replaced. Great stay.

By the sea is a fantastic house in a perfect location. Overlooking the sea and minutes away from the town of Newbiggin with all it has to offer, this wonderful house has everything you may need for a lovely stay. The welcome pack allows for a cuppa and biscuit on arrival and instant relaxation. The main bedroom’s large window is a great place to watch the vast bird life and to keep an eye out for visiting dolphins. With great coastal walks from the front door this really is an unmissable place to stay.

The house we booked through Host and stay was dirty, poorly equipped and badly managed. The fridge freezer did not work and had been reported as not working 3 weeks prior, we had no warning and were not given the choice to cancel. They did nothing to sort it out so we had to go and buy our own! We are still waiting for them to respond to our complaint.

Had an amazing stay at Sycamore Spa Lodge, everything you need for a complete luxurious relaxing break. The lodge is immaculate and spacious, good clear, helpful information on local area for things to do etc provided. Some lovely touches such as a bottle of fizz and a hamper of cheese and biscuits very thoughtful, will definitely return 😀.

The Beeches, Hayton. Excellent terraced sandstone property to stay at for a short weekend break to see family in a nearby village. We found everything we needed in the house to make a great weekend escape including a place to eat only two minutes walk away. I look forward to going back there for a longer break in the future.

This was our second visit. Very comfortable, clean and attractive flat on the very edge of Ilkley Moor. Friendly owners, wonderful walks and views.
