This was our 3rd stay in a Host & Stay holiday let and 2nd time at Wood St. On this occasion we were disappointed at the state of the bathroom, no bathmat, nail clippings on the floor, very dusty radiator and dirty shower base. The rest of the cottage was clean and tidy, however no oven gloves provided in the kitchen. Despite contact made with Ryan at Host & Stay and providing our booking reference as he requested nothing else was forthcoming. As this was a 3 day short let we left as arranged with no further contact having been made. Yours faithfully, Chris and Cynthia Ackroyd.

We had a lovely stay here. Unfortunately we left a couple of items behind when we left, which were stolen. Contact stopped between whoever manages their account and myself after some time trying and proving they were stolen. A shame really as the place is lovely and clean.

Omg where do I start ? The apartment is absolutely unbelievable, it’s so huge and decorated so gorgeous. I stayed here the night before my wedding with my bridal party and it was the perfect venue for us all to stay comfortably and get ready the next morning! It was the perfect back drop for all of our photos !! We had an issue with the heating on arrival but this was sorted straight away when we messaged the hosts ! Everyone commented how beautiful, bright and spacious it was and we would definitely book to stay here again. It’s the perfect place for a girls night in or a little group get together ! Honestly could not fault the place or the hosts 🥹🥹🥹💕💕💕 thank you for making my night & morning so special and memorable xxxxx

The house was perfect for us. We were two families of four and we had plenty of space and were really comfortable throughout our stay. The house is ideally located, right on the beach and we loved being able to easily walk down to the sea. All of the instructions and check-in details were really clear and accurate.

Apartment 2 - 15 Prospectus Hill, Whitby. Outstanding apartment and hosts. The location is perfect, exceptionally clean with excellent communication from Host & Stay as well as the owners. The attention to detail in the apartment with the added little comfort gifts was just amazing. Cannot recommend this more!

Slightly deceived from the online pictures. Very dated. Shower is not fit for purpose. Needs full refurbishment. Not worth the cost

Beautiful location and grounds. Facilities, eg, the swimming pool, etc, are immaculate . The welcome pack is a nice suggestion and the lodge is very well equipped. Just a shame our hot tub was freezing for the first 24 hrs

Had a wonderful family holiday in Northumberland staying in Alnwick The house was well situated for town and the beautiful Alnwick gardens and Lilidorei Clean and well presented, great comms from host and superb support throughout our stay ( thank you Charlie ) Will definitely use these guys again Thank you 😊 A big 5 stars from us 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Stayed in Ralph House, Bedlington. The booking was for 7 nights but we left half way through as there was no heating or hot water available in the property, which forced us to seek out alternative accommodation. It was Easter Week and the experience we had all but ruined my friends visit from America. I complained to AirBnb and have had a portion of the money refunded. I filled in the Host & Stay complaint form and was promised a £94.21 goodwill payment for our trouble, which I am yet to receive. I have been told that this was issued to me, but that was the separate refund from AirBnb for failure to provide the services advertised, and not the goodwill gesture promised by Host & Stay. I am currently going around in circles with this via the telephone and emails with Chris. You will find that when you really need assistance, most people in this company are nowhere to be found, they will say someone will call you back and they don't. I was also informed that I would have a speaker forwarded to me which was left at the property, and I am yet to receive the invoice for postage or indeed the speaker itself. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this company. There are many, many accommodation providers out there and I would never use this one again. I never really leave reviews but felt this case was deserving enough to be the exception.
