This was a really well placed house to stay in, walking distance into Whitby town centre, the beach etc. Easy to get to the cinder track for longer walks and a good spot for the museum, park and other attractions. Lots of space for us all.

A wonderful little cottage, Harbour cottage in Staithes was clean, modernised but still 'cottagey' and ideally located near the bottom end of Staithes. Parking is an issue in Staithes because, even though you are allowed 40 mins free parking to unload etc, it is hard to get a space. Apparently it is possible to pre-book a space. The main issue with the cottage, however, was the foisty smell, which may be a problem with these cottages. Also, put towels down on the floor if you have a shower because the shower door is certainly not watertight. The hot water in the sinks only seems to get hot if you don't put the tap on full. It was nice to get a message from host and stay in the evening telling us that we didn't have to vacate the next day until 12pm and not 10am as previously stated.

I can't help feeling some of the negative comments on this apartment are unnecessarily petty. As long as you have sensible, realistic expectations and don't live in Windsor Castle you'll love this place as much as we did. It's a great apartment (the magnificent Zetland Hotel that had its own railway platform for its guests, remnants of which are still there) in a beautiful location and an ideal place to stay if you want to explore the town and surrounding area. We had a minor hold up in collecting the keys (our fault!) but after one phone call it was sorted out within ten minutes. Smashing.

Terrible, should be 0 stars, the company have terrible customer service skills, assuming everyone is using the property as a party place and out to damage it, You must pay either a damage waiver of £25 on top of the rental price ir provide a £150 + £10 damage deposit which may or may not be refunded in 7+ days. Property suffers damp and possibly dangerous mould, bedding was not clean, beds are queen not double so not large enough for 4 adults as described and parking permit was not provided so free parking was not provided

The property was in a good location for all the popular sites. It had a well stocked kitchen of cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery. Had a dishwasher and 2 bathrooms. Private parking and local food shops, crazy golf and petrol station. Quiet area, but it is overlooked at all sides of the property Customer services responded quickly by phone and email The beds were so uncomfortable. Bring or use one of their duvets to make a topper as the sprung mattress is not sprung anymore We had no hot water for 2.5 days, which the agency knew about but didn’t tell us, but hoped the temporary fix would last. A valve needed replacing, but got it in the end The power shower is tired and just is not up to the task. It’s either scolding hot or freezing cold. Very temperamental The pillows, too fat or too thin, bring your own. They also have no pillow protector on them The blinds are not great. Don’t really provide heat or block out the sun. Either use day or night blinds. Or just curtains

What a wonderful place to meet our favorite family friends where the kids and adults each had places to gather inside AND walk easily everywhere outside and into town! The hosts are amazing and we would definitely stay here again 🙏

We booked this Apartment and paid in full upfront. Unfortunately my husband was suddenly made redundant and we were no longer able to afford to go. I begged them several times as did Booking. Com to please refund us given the circumstances. They flatly refused. They wouldn’t even enter into a conversation with us. In the end we pleaded to change the dates so we could hopefully go later in the year. They absolutely refused this request also. Avoid this place at all because if life throws you an unexpected curve ball, they will not show you one ounce if humanity. They will take your money regardless of your circumstances and smile whilst doing so. They ought to be completely ashamed. I hope they sleep well at night. Not one ounce of human decency. Shame on you

Bridge house - Muker. Lovely house in a great location for exploring the Dales. Clean but could be cleaner (quite a few cobwebs, some of which had been there a long time)

Absolutely lovely house, modern interior and features. Perfect location with 1 parking space which is a bit of a flaw with it sleeping 8. We enjoyed our stay here and beds were comfortable. A few suggestions would be for air conditioning upstairs as it gets extremely warm and it is impossible to get it cool. However the bedrooms stay cool throughout. There is a small bit of a garden which is full of weeds ATM. I would turn it into a patio and have some seats and table there for people to relax outside. All in all it was a good place to stop and the layout of the house was perfect, with all facilities already there.

Fabulous location, clean and tidy and so tranquil . Facilities are first class. Both the hot tub and sauna were simple to use and luxuriate in! Beautiful log cabin. Tucked away but not far from all amenities, Whitby tourist sector etc. Would highly recommend this gem, will definitely book again in the very near future

Lovely house, perfectly situated! Dog friendly at no extra cost and there is a park to walk them in literally two doors down, and an enclosed garden to safely let them out at night. Very clean and spacious and had everything we needed. Would stay again!

Our stay at The Cobbles Osmotherly was simply superb. Every detail was well thought by the host. We have booked multiple homestay's over the last decade here in the English countryside. This was right up there with the best. Lovely house, lovely location and an eye for detail made our holiday absolutely wonderful. Thank you to the whole team.

Unprofessional property management company Our recent stay at one of Host and Stay’s houses in Liverpool, was nothing short of a disaster. We booked the property for five nights, expecting a comfortable and relaxing vacation, but what we experienced was a complete nightmare. **Daily Power Outages and Incompetent Customer Service** Every single day at exactly 12 pm, the power would completely go out. This was not a one-time issue but a daily occurrence that significantly disrupted our plans. Each day, the power would be out for as long as nine hours and we spend more than three hours on the phone with Host and Stay’s customer service, explaining the situation repeatedly and hoping for a resolution. Their representatives consistently lied, telling us the power would be restored in 10 minutes, only to leave us waiting and frustrated. It took more than three calls every day just to get someone to send a technician to restore the power. Host and Stay claimed the issue stemmed from the landlord’s failure to keep the electricity meter topped up, as it only had enough credit for one day. Despite being informed that £80 had been added to the meter, the power outage issue persisted, ruining our entire stay. Every time we tried to escalate the matter to a manager with customer service, we were met with excuses and deflections, such as the manager being busy with hiring or that the manager isn’t available at the moment. **Lack of Resolution for Complaints** We were instructed to submit an official complaint with Host and Stay, which we did promptly. Their terms clearly state that complaints would be resolved within five business days. However, five days passed with no resolution. After sending a reminder, we were told it would take ten business days instead. Today marks 12 business days, and we have yet to receive any resolution or follow-up. **Unhygienic Conditions** To add insult to injury, the property’s cleanliness was appalling. The kitchen utensils were sticky and smelled terrible, and housekeeping left two large laundry bags full of used bedsheets and towels in the property, which were only picked up during our stay. Overall, our experience with Host and Stay was horrendous. Their lack of accountability, inadequate customer service, and failure to resolve issues promptly made our vacation an exhausting ordeal. We would never do business with Host and Stay again and strongly advise others to avoid them at all costs. This experience completely ruined our time in Liverpool, and we hope no one else has to endure such frustration.

I had a great experience when I stayed. The receptionist, I don’t know his name, well explained all the information about the stay. Although I felt like they could have provided fan as it was really hot inside the room
