House is beautiful. Location is amazing. But.... We had an infestation of moths. Not just 1 or 2. There were dozens each evening. Flying in your face, landing in drinks, loads dead on the floor each morning. It was so bad that you could already see damage to the rugs where they had started to eat away at the fabric. The bath plug was stuck (one of those metal tippy ones) so the bath took around 10 hours to drain after a shower and even longer after a bath. No window covering on top floor 'childrens' room (2 single beds) so this time of year impossible to get them to sleep and woke stupidly early. Complained and was given the run around. Firsy someone was coming, then they weren't. Contacted again and was told someone would be out. Nobody came. Air bnb not much better. Because there were problems uploading videos and photos they closed the case!! Host and Stay's customer service is appalling.

Stayed here with my partner in July. Beautiful little cottage. Very modern, but still keeps the charm of a cottage. Very well maintained.. Actually felt like a home rather than just a rental place with no character. Ideal base for seeing the sights of Yorkshire. Lovely quiet area with a pub just down the road. Would definitely stay here again if we are visiting Yorkshire.

First and foremost you have to deal with the smell of Cat Pee, the smell is horrendous so much so that we left a day early because of it. We had to buy a plug in air freshener for each room just to be able to go in them. This was in early reviews so I assumed it would have been dealt with. The bathroom smells of pee, the rugs were filthy. There were cobwebs everywhere considering we arrived as the cleaner left it was a bit of a poor effort. The only reason we stayed was because I knew there would be no chance of getting the money back and it was our holiday. I understand something's are out of your control but please address the smell as I would definitely not recommend the cottage to anyone. A very disappointed ex customer.

We stayed in the Captain's Deck apartment in Saltburn. The location is amazing with incredible views, the apartment is just a short walk from the promenade and all the main sites. However, our experience was somewhat ruined by the state of the apartment. The inside door handle broke off, trapping us inside the apartment for an hour until someone was able to come out and assist us. The ensuite bathroom had an overwhelmingly disgusting stink and the extractor fan was blocked, making the room basically unusable. Someone did come out during the second day to fix this but really this should have been adressed before we arrived. The whole apartment was very damp and in dire need of ventilation, there were damp patches on the walls and peeling paint. The fridge door was on its last legs and much of the kitchen felt tired and ready for some TLC. The balcony surrounding glass and windows were pretty filthy. There were also a pair of children's trousers laying on the balcony. Not sure how they got there? The building, location and views are truly great but it seems as though maintenance has not been properly taken care of.

Lovely stay at The Lookout. Apartment is beautiful, has everything you could need and is literally a stones throw from the beach. The stairs and ramps down to the beach are definitely not for the faint hearted though. Once at the bottom left takes you to Scarboroughs main beach and strip and right takes you to a really quiet stretch of rocks and beach great for crabbing and sea glass finds. Everywhere was very dog friendly too 😊

Nicely decorated and furnished to a high standard with everything we needed for a short break visiting family in the area. I didn’t give 5 stars as we would have liked a table big enough for all 4 of us to sit round and 4 chairs to go with it (there were only 2), a coffee table in the lounge would have been useful too. The house was clean but there were a lot of cobwebs which indicated to me that the spiders hadn’t been evicted thoroughly and they had been very busy since the cleaning was done as we walked through cobwebs at the front door and on the landing. However we had a comfortable stay and will probably stay again.

Molto confortevole e silenzioso

Another fantastic stay at this great property with the best sea views. It’s in a prime position in Saltburn, overlooking the beach, with restaurants and bars a short walk up the jewel streets. We’ve stayed in other properties in Saltburn and this is our favourite. Whilst it’s at the heart of the town it’s really quiet at night. It’s modern, light and airy with all the amenities you need and spotlessly clean. We stayed with our 2 teenagers and small dog and there was plenty of room for all. Will definitely return again!

Fantastic, friendly and easy to find. Was blown away by the space, decor and privacy of Knights Retreat, Whitby. Comfortable bed, spacious shower and amazing fireplace making for 2 brilliantly atmospheric evenings. Would certainly recomend and will be looking to book again if stopping in Whitby.

A very new feeling first floor apartment on the West cliff front in Whitby. There are about seven apartments in the block. Ours had a pleasant lounge/kitchen/diner with a big smart TV. There were three bedrooms (one with en suite and second Smart TV) and a bathroom. Getting in was easy with the codes we were sent and we received a parking pass for about 50 metres away. There was milk in the fridge which was all we needed for our two night stay. See pictures for front of building and the view of the very handy ice cream and coffee kiosk. We had two fabulous breakfasts at Cranberry Swamp about 500 metres down the adjacent street, and two sets of Fish and Chips - I would just recommend Magpie cafe over Mr Chips (which was just closing so we had the end of the chips - not their fault) - but there are steps down the cliff to both places.
