First and foremost you have to deal with the smell of Cat Pee, the smell is horrendous so much so that we left a day early because of it. We had to buy a plug in air freshener for each room just to be able to go in them. This was in early reviews so I assumed it would have been dealt with. The bathroom smells of pee, the rugs were filthy. There were cobwebs everywhere considering we arrived as the cleaner left it was a bit of a poor effort. The only reason we stayed was because I knew there would be no chance of getting the money back and it was our holiday. I understand something's are out of your control but please address the smell as I would definitely not recommend the cottage to anyone. A very disappointed ex customer.

We stayed in the Captain's Deck apartment in Saltburn. The location is amazing with incredible views, the apartment is just a short walk from the promenade and all the main sites. However, our experience was somewhat ruined by the state of the apartment. The inside door handle broke off, trapping us inside the apartment for an hour until someone was able to come out and assist us. The ensuite bathroom had an overwhelmingly disgusting stink and the extractor fan was blocked, making the room basically unusable. Someone did come out during the second day to fix this but really this should have been adressed before we arrived. The whole apartment was very damp and in dire need of ventilation, there were damp patches on the walls and peeling paint. The fridge door was on its last legs and much of the kitchen felt tired and ready for some TLC. The balcony surrounding glass and windows were pretty filthy. There were also a pair of children's trousers laying on the balcony. Not sure how they got there? The building, location and views are truly great but it seems as though maintenance has not been properly taken care of.

Lovely stay at The Lookout. Apartment is beautiful, has everything you could need and is literally a stones throw from the beach. The stairs and ramps down to the beach are definitely not for the faint hearted though. Once at the bottom left takes you to Scarboroughs main beach and strip and right takes you to a really quiet stretch of rocks and beach great for crabbing and sea glass finds. Everywhere was very dog friendly too 😊

Nicely decorated and furnished to a high standard with everything we needed for a short break visiting family in the area. I didn’t give 5 stars as we would have liked a table big enough for all 4 of us to sit round and 4 chairs to go with it (there were only 2), a coffee table in the lounge would have been useful too. The house was clean but there were a lot of cobwebs which indicated to me that the spiders hadn’t been evicted thoroughly and they had been very busy since the cleaning was done as we walked through cobwebs at the front door and on the landing. However we had a comfortable stay and will probably stay again.

Molto confortevole e silenzioso

We found Harbour View House to be a large, tastefully decorated property with stunning views across Whitby harbour. We were a party of 9 celebrating a significant birthday and were delighted with the facilities the house provided, especially the on site 2 car parking which is appreciated on this busy street. The bedrooms are well furnished with comfortable beds, crisp linen and plenty of towels. We appreciated the lounge area comfortably furnished with 3 large sofas and side tables. The outside space was also very much appreciated although the larger area on the lower level would benefit from some weeding it wasn't a major problem. The kitchen is well equipped and there is a good supply of china and glassware. However cleaning materials and dishwasher tabs were in short supply. The only truly negative aspect we found is that as a party of 9 using every bit of the accommodation 2 bathrooms are somewhat inadequate. We found the steps within the property along with the outside steps to the road below could, with care, be managed by our very senior family members.

I wouldn't use them again. As a customer I was over communicated at to the point it's driven me to write this review when normally I d stick to my "if I haven't got anything nice to say, don't say anything" policy. They take a huge security deposit. Equal or more than the cost to stay. They also don't return it for a substantial, I would say entirely disproportionate and unreasonable amount of time. Everything feels very onerous, commercial and just maeh. The whole experience is a bit like the relationship you d have with a debt collector. You will be hounded for deposits and reviews. It's so low trust and leaves you feeling yucky and like a cash pig. I don't know how they've messed it up so badly, feels like a property management company and behaves like one. My honest review would be to avoid and help protest this sub par, profiteering nonsense by not spending your money here. It's the worst case example of Airbnb.

Firstly the company helped themselves to a £10 charge from my bank account, to verify me- after the reservation had been taken and then demanded a £250 deposit. We arrived to a property that was covered in mould, no hot water, cooker not working and was absolutely filthy. We informed them and they simply offered to come and clean the next day! We was only staying 2 days so on day 2, after my husband and son had breathing difficulties through the night due to the damp, we decided to check out and leave. We sent an official complaint and evidencial photos. We have received no response, no refund of any sort, no apology and they have still got our deposit!!! I ahve emailed, messaged and rung but theyignore you and say they are investigating!! disgusting sevrice never- again I am not reporting them and claiming my money back through my bank

We've just had a very pleasant 3 night stay in The Gulls Nest, Whitby. The accommodation is in a great location for pottering around Whitby. The creaks and unevenness of the floors certainly added to the charm. The welcome biscuits were a nice touch. Previous reviews mentioned the lack of sockets in the twin room so we came prepared with an extention lead but found 2 sets of double sockets behind both bedheads. It's situated above a cafe and right next to a pub and to be fair neither were an issue regarding noise, the gulls in the mornings took up that mantle. The shower was more than adequate from a power point of view. I have to say the bits an peices , bed linen etc are of a very good standard. I awarded this place 4 stars rather than 5. This was for the fact there was nowhere to put any items in either bedroom nor the bathroom, under the sofa was pretty bad so I guess the cleaner doesn't move it. Lastly, and again we saw this in the pictures before we went so we were aware, the living space could do with one more comfy chair. The sofa had clearly seen better days! That said we all agree we would definately go back and would recommend to others also. I hope this comes across as it was intended, a balanced and honest review of a quiant little property in a lovely part of the world.

Fabulous cottage in a great location in Whitby. A parking scratch card is provided to allow free on street parking. Only a few minutes into town and lots of fabulous cafes nearby for breakfast. The cottage itself is cosy, set over three floors, and dog friendly! There was a lovely welcome hamper and treats left for the dog. The owner is really lovely and the communication was excellent all the way through. Lots of lovely touches in the cottage such as coffee machine and smart tv. Had a fab time and will definitely be back soon!!

The place itself was immaculate, sadly the fridge freezer wasn't working properly from the outset, eventually packing up on the last night and the toilet roll was really poor quality. That said,we enjoyed our stay overall.Thank you.
