The location of the cottage is amazing - right on the main street in a lovely quaint road. There is a seat in the bay window which is great for watching the world walk by. The set up of the house is great and the interiors are lovely. There's everything you could need in the kitchen and the TV is a smart TV so you can get all of your streaming services. The bedrooms a lovely, there are two in the attic spaces and one has quite limited head space so you need to watch for that - we had a few bumped heads! There was plenty of hot water and our family enjoyed both showers and baths during our stay. We couldn't fault it really!

I have stayed in a Host and Stay accommodation twice now and have found the cleaning standards and welcome pack to be of an excellent standard and quality. The choice of accommodation is of a very high standard with excellent locations along the north coast. Communication with the team is prompt, timely and very detailed. Thank you for a great break

Stayed at The Pines, Runswick Bay. A large spacious lodge which was very clean and comfortable. Lots of space and a nice deck.

Property ‘Pier View’ in Saltburn was gorgeous. The apartment was so modern; fully equipped kitchen, perfect location, comfy bed, easily accessible, pet friendly with no extra fee. Only reason for not having 5* are the sitting chairs to relax on an evening are not ‘relaxing.’ The property is suited towards couples as only 1 bedroom and I think, as many of the previous reviews say - a sofa would be much better suited for this type of property. Normally people visiting a seaside town want to relax on an evening - even a fairly small sofa in this property would make it 5*s. I also found the accommodation to be expensive. We were there over a bank holiday so we took the extra cost on the chin however I do think £300 plus for a two night stay in Saltburn is expensive. Also as previously mentioned in reviews - the extra deposit fee is also very high - i appreciate companies asking for a deposit but £250 may put some people off booking which would be a shame … But all in all we had a gorgeous weekend & I would recommend this accommodation.

Fantastic wee house. Everything is so clean and fresh. Ideal spot for a small break with two older teenage boys as trains, food and a range of excellent pubs are literally on the doorstep. We also had our dog and beautiful walks down to the beach and pier. We will be back again when visiting older relatives.

Beautiful, well equipped rooms. Very stylish and a lot of thought has gone into it all. Location is slightly out of town (only a 10/15min walk) but easy to park and a gorgeous view. Check in very easy. Would 100% recommend

Lovely little cottage, in the very centre of Richmond. Parking was not straightforward and it was noisy from the next door pub until 11pm.

The house was lovely and spacious, all the bedrooms were plenty big enough for all our party. My only downside to the stay would be it is a little further out of town than we anticipated and some of the furniture seemed to be a little tired, one of the beds actually collapsed during our stay but the owner came out to see to it straight away

Just returned from really pleasant weekend in Whitby staying at the Host and Stay apartments. Lovely apartment, well-equiped clean, comfortable and in an excellent location. Communications before and during the stay were spot on. Recommended.

The property was generally ok. However, there were lots of niggly issues like the kitchen clock not having batteries in it, lack of coat/shoe storage by the door, better lighting needed over the table, no storage in the bathroom, no kitchen storage for food, dirty/dusty areas, not enough clothes hangers, just generally looking tired. However, the main awful thing was the fact that the bed in the front bedroom gave me terrible bed bug bites and, when informed, the company really didn't seem that bothered. I'm writing this review months later because this issue has caused me a lot of mental health problems and I now find it difficult to sleep anywhere other than at my own home. A proper acknowledgment and a consideration of some form of compensation would have been welcomed and certainly in order, especially in this day and age when plenty of places are being sued for bed bugs.

Lovely, clean & well-appointed apartment on top 2 floors of victorian house, close to centre of Whitby. 2 bedrooms in attic which were v warm due to weather. Unfortunately, we couldn't keep velux windows open because of rain.

The owner of this property has done a wonderful job in renovating it - the space is extremely efficiently used, and the decor is fantastic. The location is also superb, walkable into the centre of Hexham with its abbey and facilities, and quick to get to nearby attractions along Hadrian's Wall etc. I feel the owner is being let down by Host & Stay, however, who have a rather parsimonious approach - there are four beds in this property, but for a full week we were provided with only: one tiny bin bag; no soap for the kitchen sink; no washing up liquid; no surface cleaner or similar products; and two loo rolls. This compares rather poorly to other experiences I've had with similar companies (e.g. AirBnB, Finest Retreats). In addition, for those considering staying here, it's worth noting that it really is quite a small property, especially the bathroom, and the car parking space is a nightmare to park in.

My whole experience with Host & Stay has been wonderful. The communication was great and the welcome package they send on checkin was exceptional, it contained everything you could possibly need about the property and the local area too.
