Worst rental property experience ever! This company does not care about property condition and has lows standards of cleanliness and trustworthiness. Our rental, on checkin, smelled awful and was beyond filthy. The light fixtures were covered in months of filth and dust and every corner has cobwebs including every window and doors. The outdoor lighting didn't work on patio or front door! The back patio was covered in months worth of weeks and grass growing up thru spaces between pavers. Then the back patio had 6 bags of garbage that were left by previous renter. The worst part is that we notified Host and Stay immediately and though they guaranteed all our concerns would be remedied, no one ever showed up and nothing was fixed. For an 8 night stay for 2 people they left us 2 bath towels and 1 hand towel only. NO face clothes at all and zero shampoo at all. One quarter sized bar of soap is what we were given for 8 nights. Luckily I found the hidden stash of shampoo and body wash. Don't waste your $ on this awful company. Use someone else, like Air BNB.

We have just stayed at a lovely flat in Liverpool, it was a really great value for 6 of us, clean and modern, well equiped with lovely decor. The host company was easy to communicate with and was very helpful in terms of questions. We even got a parking permit. Thank you for the experience!

Chartwell Close Marske by the sea… We stayed at Chartwell Close Marske by the sea. It was lovely bungalow. Very welcoming,clean,modern and had everything we needed for our stay. Nearby to Saltburn,Marske,Whitby,Redcar and many more lovely places and beaches. We would definately stay again. Date of experience: 25 August 2024

Practically Perfect in every way! As a multi generation family of 5 people, the house on Falkner Street was fabulous! More room than we knew what to do with, charmingly & wittily decorated with every modern convenience you needed to make it a home from home. Smack bang in the middle of the Knowledge Quarter and a lovely stroll into town - it met all of our needs. The check in and out process was simply but thoroughly explained and super quick comms when I requested a little local knowledge. Could not recommend enough!

A great location with a well set out apartment, plenty of room to spread out. Easy access to the building. The night life wasn’t a bother with the triple glazing windows. Would definitely stay again

We we stayed in a great holiday home called Caedmon View which is in an amazing location in the grounds of Whitby Abbey. Furnished to a very high standard, parking for 2 cars, dog friendly, great responsive owners. I could go on but just book it and you will see for yourselves how good this place is.

Although the house was as described and comfortable I wouldn’t use host and stay again. They use a dirty tactic to get money out of you the week before you go. One week before your stay you get an email telling you that you must either pay £25 insurance policy or transfer £250 cash as a security deposit (of which only £240 will be returned). If you choose the cash they will keep it for two weeks after departure and deduct £10 when they return it. If you don’t hand it over before arrival they won’t give you the keys. So having paid out the full balance for the house a week before arrival which is at this point non refundable. I have a week to either find £250 cash (off which a lose £10) which they will hold for three weeks (time on holiday and two weeks after) or £25 which I won’t get back. I have never before been charged for a security deposit they have always been refunded in full. When I questioned them they said the £10 covered administration. When I questioned this further they couldn’t give and details of what admin they needed to do but did say it’s not much money. I don’t object to security deposits. But I do object to being put in a position where I suddenly have no choice but to hand over more money or lose my holiday a week before I go. It’s dirty tactics!

Fantastic apartment. Spacious, clean, and so comfortable. Probably the best equipped holiday accomadation we have ever stayed in, it truly has that WOW factor. Communications from host and stay, clear, informative, and reassuring.

Great central location VERY over priced considering the following. Whole house needed a detailed clean mould on shower curtain, dirty rim round bath, cobwebs with a little 8 legged friend which yes nobody can help but that bad boys house wasn't constructed 1 hour prior to out arrival. Rust on both bins in bathroom and toilet. Window frame in bathroom falling apart with rust and blind well was it a blind ???? Mugs I kitchen all tea stained had to wash them all before use. Needless to say we ate out each night as cutlery was the same. No extras no little thing of milk in the fridge no welcome package etc. No communication when I text about cleanliness. Ever the steps hadn't been swept and the court yard well again all rusty and dirty. Could be brilliant if eve for detail was there even the cupboards all had previous guests old bits in a toy dinosaur broken drum 🥁 🪘 no attention at all. Such a 😞 dissapointment

We stayed in Spring Cottage in West Rainton. It looked lovely in the photos but unfortunately when we arrived there were a few issues. The house smelt of damp and you could see the paint coming away from the wall in some places due to this, the TV didn't work, the garden was overgrown and the mattress so uncomfortable you could feel the springs in it. However, the main issue was the customer service from Host & Stay. We experienced a washing machine leak on the first evening in the property, that flooded the kitchen and downstairs toilet, and trying to get hold of them to get it sorted was really stressful. I spent my holiday phoning them and trying to find out when someone would be coming to fix it, which they finally did on the last day. We sent a full complaint to Host & Stay afterwards and they have never acknowledged it. I would never stay in a property managed by them again.

Super little house in quiet but central location. Ideal base for visiting all regional attractions and Barnard Castle itself. Definitely recommend this location.

I was very disappointed with the Den at Whitby. From dirty sofas and carpets to filthy cutlery and glasses. Every door handle was broken. The green is not secure. The kitchen frying pans and pots are in a terrible state. The worst part is the fire alarm for the whole building goes off in the microwave of the night- for half an hour. I have formally complained and included photos- but no reply

We stayed here as a 'base', to be close to Roseberry Topping and Saltburn. The property itself is small, but we knew that before we went. Some items around the property are old/broken and need to be replaced (stool in bedroom has one leg hanging off, bin in bathroom rusty, hairdryer smells when you use it, towels had holes in them). We weren't impressed by the job of the cleaners either. Crumbs all around the kitchen and we had to scrub mugs before we could use them. The mattresses seem very well used and weren't very comfortable. Overall I wouldn't stay there again, but as a base for exploring the area, the property was central to Guisborough with ample parking options.

Fantastic property, clean , beautifully furnished, with a secure outside space for the dogs and a short walk to the high street and beautiful beaches. We were blessed with amazing weather which made our stay just perfect. Hope to visit again soon.

Central, clean and quiet, with all amenities at your service. We absolutely loved the apartment and its proximity to the best sights, food and bars of Liverpool. Cannot wait to come back!

Difficult to find but when found very sweet and quaint. Check in at 4pm and check out at 10am a bit disappointing as felt check in was too late. Property clean, essentials catered for and comfortable.

The property was clean and comfortable. Everything we needed was there. The heating system was so easy to operate . I was impressed. Everything was excellent but for one thing. The car parking is difficult. Whenever I moved I would have to drive around to find a space. To be fair I got used to it after the first day. I would be happy to recommend Normandy Terrace Whitby to anyone wanting to stay there. All in all we enjoyed ourselves and the beach was only a four minute walk away. Will go back next year. Dave b

Amazing property, lovely stay! We would highly recommend to anyone! The property was clean and tidy and we had some really love complimentary items! 5 star experience for sure and such a great location for Port lymphe Reserve
