Nice house, although the link between the landing and the bathroom was a bit precarious. We had a problem with the gas/hot water that took a while to be resolved, but the owner and Host and Stay went out of their way to accommodate us.

I stay at Seaview Retreat in Whitby 30th May - 1st June. My problem is their customer service. The listing stated it included a parking permit to allow free parking during my stay. This was missing when I arrived. I called customer services and got through to Emma, she said no problem, simply pay for the parking tickets as normal and send a picture across at the end of your stay of the tickets and we'll issue a refund. It's been over 3 weeks and im still owed £32. Emma confirmed she processed a refund on the 1st June, she hasn't. I spoke to other colleagues on the phone who were apparently sending this to the finance department, they didn't. I also requested a call back from a manger, multiple times, it never happened. Spoke to Charlie via email, he assured me he's dealing with this, he hasn't. This company are so fast to take your money then make it very clear if you do not declare any damages immediately when you arrive, you would then be held accountable and charged for the repairs. Yet when they are clearly in the wrong, they are incapable of rectifying the situation. Very disappointing, I would highly recommend you avoid any property managed by Host & Stay. There are plenty of other properties to choose which have far far better customer service.

Lovely stay at North Shore cottage. Spacious property, 5 minutes walk from the beach and a 5 minute stroll from the town centre. Clean and well equipped property in a quiet neighborhood. The rear yard is a very private and a sun trap. There were green spaces nearby which was handy for the dog. Would highly recommend.

Host & Stay If I could give zero ratings, I would. Promised to sort out a cleaning issue we had, and despite email/messaging/phoning, they did absolutely nothing. In the end we sorted this issue out ourselves via owner. Won’t be using again.

Had a lovely weekend in Whitby for my husbands 50th birthday. First time in Whitby. What a fab place to stay. Gorgeous house with everything we needed. Beds were very comfy, such a lovely place to stay. Thank you. Just a little disappointed there was no outdoor seating as the weather was lovely. :( Otherwise we had such a great time xx

Me and my daughter were very happy with our apartment on the ground floor, it was modern clean and had everything you need. The sea views of the North Bay were stunning, took loads of photos of the sunsets. Overall this was the best choice I could have made. Highly recommend. Thank you Host and Stay.

The place was brilliant. The communication was absolutely appalling I will check if host and stay are managing any property I'm looking at going to and avoid like a fly getting away from a frog

Great location. Large enough to comfortably house 2 couples and 2 dogs. Only downside was there was not a hose to clean the pups. We found a note mentioning a mud daddy (portable pump) but not the pump itself. We would definitely stay again

Stayed for the weekend to celebrate our parents birthday at Adventure house in Whitby. Location is great and the home was fab. No real issues which would stop us from staying again. The welcome basket with tea, coffee, biscuits and a bottle of wine was lovely! Recommendations to the hosts; 1. Provide more toilet rolls - the home accommodates 8 people - and has 3 toilets - only 3 toilet rolls provided. 2. Cleaning spray to clean the kitchen/bathrooms would help guests keep the property clean during their stay. 3. The top floor double room bed was very squeaky and the mattress was springy (uncomfortable) all the other beds was comfortable. 4. Some sort of wardrobe or drawers in the top floor double room and the second floor double room would really help as we had to live out of our suitcase as we couldn’t hang out clothes up. 5. Provide more a minimum of two parking scratch cards - the home accommodates 8 people - this meaning unless you drive down in a bus or use public transport a minimum of 2 cars. 6. Providing some sort of toiletries (miniatures or refillable shower gel attached to the walls in the bathrooms and also hand soap at every sink.

Cleveland Rest. Lovely clean and well equipped property in a great location giving access to lots of nearby coastal locations. (Saltburn, Redcar, Whitby etc) Just a few niggles stop it being a 5 star experience. Power went off and it was on a meter so we had to ring H & S who sorted it within 20 minutes had it been out of office hours I'm not so sure that would have been the case. Also if it had been dark it could have been dangerous. You also had to reset the meter for it to accept the top up nothing in the folder covered this. Nice welcome basket (apart from crisps that were 1 month out of date and the half used pack of dog treats) The dishwasher buzzed constantly unless you left the door open. I also think its over kill to send an e-mail the day before you leave reminding you to be out for 10am and another one on the day. We actually left at 9am and the cleaner was sat outside waiting to come in. The back garden grass was in desperate need of cutting. The back area decking is great and will be a bonus in summer but if not treated will be a slip hazard in winter as the steps are very thin and steep. A couple of suggestions to improve the experience, stick a pint of milk in the fridge not those little milk portions you get in hotel rooms and use a better quality toilet roll! That said its a great property which I would use again. Good experience using H & S.

For me and my family it was a nice experience, the hosting service was very good, the facilities were clean, very nice and comfortable.
