Fabulous experience from start to finish. Home was perfect for 3 generations. 75 year old all the way down to a 3 year old. 5 minutes away from a path that leads to a seal colony. Perfect

Goede uitvalbasis voor weekend Canterbury. Gelegen op loopafstand van het centrum in rustige wijk. Voorzieningen goed. Zeer schoon! Woonkamer en tuin niet gezellig ingericht.

We stayed at one of Host & Stay's accommodation's in Whitby. It was a 2 bed 2 bath and was well looked after. The accommodation was clean, well presented and had all the amenities that we needed. There was no direct interaction with anyone from Host & Stay, however if was needed, there as a phone number on hand. All information was on hand. The only niggle was that there was no slip mat in the shower so we had to be a little careful. I wouldn't have any problem booking with Host & Stay again as overall we had a great experience at their accommodation.

Beautiful area and the house was really lovely for our combined family of 8. Everything we needed was there and the owners offered us late checkout. Would definitely recommend.

Feversham House was beautiful! The setting was so peaceful. It was located so close to York city centre, The Shambles and York Minster we spent the day walking around the attractions. Everything in the apartment was sparkling clean. The bed was extremely comfortable. We appreciated having a very detailed digital compendium explaining everything about the apartment and tourist information. The communication with Feversham house was excellent. I thoroughly recommend Feversham House.

Location could not get any better! Neighbours left a nasty note on our car for being parked a tiny bit over the front of there house. Beds very comfortable, only issues we had were the washer does not work and 2 of the hobs would not stay alight. Could do with a deep clean as behind doors and skirting boards were all dirty. Over all I would return if the above issues are rectified.

Gorgeous decorated throughout with quality furniture, fixtures and fittings. The courtyard was lovely to sit in with a drink to enjoy the evening sunshine. Although a residential neighbourhood, it was peaceful and the local pub was friendly with tasty food. Host and Stays communication and information was really clear and useful, I would definitely use them again!

Booked through Booking.com. Host & Stay replied to all messages straight away and we're great at explaining everything, they made everything super easy and stress free. Will definitely book again with them.

Delightful little house, set back far enough from the road for it not to be a bother. Secure front garden for our medium sized dog and very secure back garden. This has a beautifully decorated and planted sun trap patio. The house is small but comfortable and very clean with all the basics you’d expect. I’m hoping they’ll add a couple more hooks and shelves to make storage easier, but we managed fine. Two superb pubs in Hinderwell and beautiful sandy beach a mile away plus a fossil hunting /rock pool beach a mile the other way. Be prepared for a steep hike though! Staithes is a beautiful historical village a very short drive to the north, and it has a useful coop on the main road. We loved our visit!

We had the most wonderful stay at Beamish, renting both the Drovers Rest and the Potter’s Cottage. From the moment we arrived, everything felt so special — the cottages are beautifully presented, full of character, and immaculately clean. They strike the perfect balance between period charm and modern comfort, making our stay both unique and relaxing. The location within the Beamish Museum grounds made the whole experience magical. Being able to explore the museum at our own pace and then retreat to such cosy, welcoming cottages really made the trip unforgettable. The team were warm, helpful, and ensured everything was seamless from start to finish. It was such a memorable stay, and I would highly recommend the cottages to anyone looking for something truly different and special. We can’t wait to return!

On arrival the apartament looked like it wasn’t cleaned, floor was so mucky that I had to change socks after few minutes. The chair in dining room/kitchen is disgustingly dirty, bathroom needs renovation, vinyl in bathroom is damaged. Cutlery in kitchen was falling apart, same with dishwasher door, frying pan totally unusable - I have contacted agent to deliver new one as it really limited our meals preparation, all had to be done in pot or oven. Message to owner employ another cleaning company who actually does the cleaning and renovate the place, until then any guests staying will have similar poor experience as ours, shame as location is great.

Booked the cottage for a couple of nights, plenty of space for a family of 5. Good location to Alnwick castle, gardens and amazing play area (you have to pay for these). Property was clean and easy to find and park outside the front as well.

Drover's Rest is a charming cottage that could be perfect with better management. Initial impressions are really good, a nice, clean property in a excellent location within Beamish estate having lovely views. More detail found difficult faults. There is meant to be wifi network in the property, there are instructions provided on how to connect. It isn't working and apparently hasn't for some months. Instead of correcting the fault Host& Stay have crossed out the service on the amenities list. We were provided with instructions to connect to the WiFi from Potter's Cottage, next door. A poor second best with poor connectivity. Mobile reception is also intermittent. The tv needs Internet service to work, there is no terrestial aerial. It does not connect to Potter's Cottage WiFi. So without the service the tv does not work. Host & Stay either have to state the location has no connectivity and tv, suitable for a retreat or get it repaired. A few aspects could be improved. As accommodation on estate, most residents will want to visitor the museum. It would be good if printed information was available in the Cottage, free maps, guides etc. The starter pack includes 1 toilet roll, rather mean for any bookings for more than 1 night. Any taller visitors needs to beware of the sharp cornered light fittings as 1.8m off the ground. From experience they can cause injury. The period nature of the design means small windows are fitted, more light is needed inside. The free standing bath needs a non slip mat for safety when using the shower. There is a handy gate from the properties into the museum. It needs a 'private' notice on the other side to prevent visitors wandering into the properties. We had a family wanting to look around while we got settled, they thought it part of the museum. The listing of amenities includes a fridge and a freezer. This is not correct and misleading. There is a small under the counter fridge with a ice box. Not the same. Overall it is a lovely property with nice fittings and features, it just needs faults fixing.
