Review is for 52 Waterside Place, Taunton: Small, basic, functional top-floor (3rd) corner flat in former, converted office building (part of structure still contains office space, although it is accessed separately). Dual aspect from lounge/diner. Easy walk to Tesco Superstore (overlooks on south side of flat), town centre (lots of restaurants), and other shopping. Access to flat is awkward to find as this section of building is served by a separate lift that is not accessed via the main lobby area (key collection point), and no instructions were provided to find the correct lift. Flat was very clean and tidy upon entering, with the exception of the dishes/utensils, all of which had to be re-washed as they had caked on food (pot lids were literally put back in the drawer unwashed). The one tray provided for the oven was covered in grease, and the washing up tub in the kitchen sink was covered in oil and the drain filled with leftover food. Very basic utensils provided (no larger bowls, turner for frying, teapot, etc.). WiFi strength was very weak the entire week we were there. Two people could not use at the same time for meetings, and files took a long time to upload. Radiator in lounge is insufficient to adequately heat the room as the window all let in a significant amount of breeze, and we were there during some cold temperatures. The windows also let in quite a bit of outside noise (the recycle area is directly below this flat to the the east); that said, the area is fairly quite generally. The bed is very comfortable and heated nicely. While we stayed in the winter, so it wasn't a problem, you should note that the bedroom window does not open, which could be an issue in warmer months as the flat is not air conditioned (we did note a fan provided). The side entrance to the building was always slightly open, no matter what time we left or returned to the flat. First time booking a Marriott Vacation home, and while this was functional and would probably suit if you just need a place nearby to stay, I would not book it again; the cost definitely did not justify the quality of what you get nor the limited amenities. Excellent communication via Host & Stay, with a useful app about the location.

Owners DO NOT engage: I signed up with Host & Stay to manage my flat. Within a short period they lost a security key, hosted guests without notifying me and denied that was the case until I presented security lock data, kept sending guests after I disbanded our contract and notified them I would not honour bookings due to poor and disorganised management. Even now, months later are sending me invoices for "maintenance fees" and sending me payments by accident and charging me for reversing them and for bookings I notified I couldn't host 3 months in advance (never mind the guests who turned up at midnight to find an occupied flat). They're hard to reach on the phone and they will put you in a compromising situation and also charge you for it. DO NOT USE.

Amazing location !!! Large , spotless apartments with all ammenities needed. I would absolutley recommend these to anyone lookong to be in the epicentere of Liverpool, with Albert Dock a stone trhow away, shops, bars cafes and more on yoir doorstop. We had 2 apartments split over 2 buildings, the only annoying aspect was there wasnt a buzzer system so had to call each other when outside and someone had to run down with keys, this could be solved quite easily. This however is not enough to take away from these fantastic apartents !!!

DO NOT BOOK THROUGH THIS COMPANY. Their properties are dirty and they don't return deposits. Y Look past the fake reviews and you will see plenty of bad reviews citing lack of cleanliness in the Whitby area. We stayed at Jackson Cottage for Xmas The property was filthy throughout. Dried toothpaste spit in cups, mouldy showers and bath mat, ingrained dirt on the stone kitchen floor that hasn't seen a mop in years, windows the same, discarded cigarettes and rubbish outside etc. The handle fell off the door (was fixed), internet none existent did manage to get it working a bit so TV could eventually work but kept logging out. Other TV not connected so useless. Kitchen didn't have enough crockery for six people - 3 bowls, 1 teaspoon, no wine glasses (1 cheap plastic champagne flute and a stolen half pint glass from pub). Host and Stay said they would drop some around but then said they would reimburse us £15 to buy some. We bought glasses along with cleaning materials and paper plates. Over two months later we still haven't received this amount of money or the insurance deposit.

We had a lovely 2 night stay at Percy Cottage. It was a brilliant location for us for a family wedding being held locally. The cottage was immaculately clean and had everything we needed. Would love to return to enjoy for longer.

Great venue for a family get together, kitchen well stocked with pots, pans etc and 2 ovens were a god send when cooking for a large family group. Bedrooms and bathrooms well appointed, although found the beds very soft. Swimming pool and sauna very well used but a shame the hot tub wasn't available for the more hardy of the group. The main staircase and early termination of the handrails caused an issue for an elderly member of our group so take care. On the whole a great property with excellent amenities and brilliant hub to explore everything Northumberland has to offer.

Church View Cottage is in a convenient location for access to the town (despite on street parking being limited). The cottage was comfortable however in need of some improvements which could make it 4 star. The linen/bedding and soft furnishings are of very poor quality - and the cushions/sofa also need cleaning. General cleanliness was ok - but not 5 star by any means (lots of dust). The kitchen has limited equipment - so if staying for more than a couple of nights it would be difficult to prepare meals. On a safety aspect the accommodation only had 1 smoke alarm and each room should be fitted with an alarm. Lastly no coffee machine or cafetiere - a must in every holiday home!

Flat was a good size, more then enough for 6 people. The only negative was the provision of cook ware for the kitchen i.e. no suitable vessels for making gravy or to serve food on to the table, also the inside of the cooker/oven was not clean. Nice touch with the birthday balloons and goodies for our dog ....thank you.

Visited one of their AirBnB’s in York and when we arrived the key box worked fine, went to put the key in the door and it was the wrong key! After waiting on the phone for nearly an hour we were told that the “host” wasn’t available to come and let us in and that we should contact air BnB who would refund us or find us another place to stay. No offers of compensation of transport costs or a formal apology. We were made to feel that it was us who were the problem and had to send video evidence of us trying to get in before they’d do anything. Don’t get me wrong the lady on the phone couldn’t do more than she could’ve as she’s restricted by what things she can do and she did try her best. Plus it wasn’t her who left the wrong key. However I’m incredibly disappointed by this experience and to top it off, whilst we We’re waiting outside to get in I received an email Reminding us that tomorrow is our checkout date… it would’ve been lovely to have even checked in.

Made a booking through booking.com - they called and informed me property not available. No suitable alternatives, so asked for refund. Have been ignoring my calls and emails since. Will be fling dispute with Credit Card. Based on this interaction i would be dubious about the claimed reviews. Avoid them

We had a wonderful stay at Foley Abode, Flat 5, Great Malvern. The property was lovely and the views were stunning. Having a parking space outside and off road was great. This was a weekend with friends to celebrate a special birthday. The rooms were all of a very good size and the beds were comfortable. The showers were good but low pressure which was mentioned in the guide on arrival, but not mentioned in the actual write up. The flat was clean, however, two of us had clumps of black hair in the bath towels! Also no hand towels in either room. No towels in the kitchen either, or oven gloves. The table in the kitchen is small for 4 people, despite there being enough room for a larger one. The sofa looks larger in the photos than it actually is. Definitely not big enough or comfortable for 4 people, and generally not comfy. Again room for larger sofa or two double sofas. No coffee table so nowhere to put drinks. The complimentary coffee etc was OK but 4 teabags for 4 people! One cuppa and that's your lot! The freezer needs defrosting as hard to open the drawers. Also need proper bedside lights in the bedroom. As mentioned the property is lovely and located in a perfect place but some of the interior details need improving. I also feel that the sloping ceilings need a mention in the details. Yes, you can see them in the photos but they are lower in the bedrooms and you definitely have to mind your head!

Worst company to work for. They don't pay their cleaners and have no responsibility towards their workers. I don't recommend it to anyone.

Have never had such a bad experience with a rental property. I have stayed in many wonderful ones! The property was misrepresented and nothing like the photos or expectations. Consequently we had to find an alternative place to stay as it was run down, unloved, in bad repair and utterly depressing. This was over Christmas so even more disappointing. No welcome anything! Refund, after leaving almost immediately with countless problems, is still outstanding and causing huge stress! We will NEVER book a property through Host and Stay again and I strongly advise anyone doing so to thoroughly check the accuracy of the details of the property beforehand. Not only was the service bad but the actual owners of the property were the rudest we’ve ever come across. It was a property in North Norfolk; 1 Ruscon Cottage in Brancaster Staithe. The kitchen equipment was appalling, old and useless wonky frying pan, no wooden spoon or equivalent of any kind. Coffee machine with not even one pod. No washing up liquid. Dishwasher with red lights needing salt, rinse aid and no tablets. Literally nothing welcoming. Not even a tea bag. A wood burner but no fire lighters. Broken drawers in dirty frozen up freezer. Everything just appalling. Not enough plates, all odd glasses..no soap in bathrooms..literally the list is endless. It felt as though they couldn’t care less!

We had a lovely time at the cottage it’s was very cosy and had everything we needed. My only suggestion to the owners is to have a welcome folder perhaps giving instructions on how to use the heating and hot water. (We managed to figure it out but may be best to have instructions for others that stay). A pair of oven gloves would help too. The WiFi code given from booking.com was wrong but the back of the BT WiFi had the code. Both doors needed a bit of wD40 as they stick a bit but if you keep turning the lock it opens. It’s a little cold upstairs but one you manage to set the central heating and keep doors open it warms up. Luckily I took my electric blanket and that keeps me warm. We really enjoyed our stay it was a lovely cottage. Such a beautiful location and Tyne pub near by we ate at and the pub owners and locals were all very friendly. I would highly recommend this cottage it’s a beautiful and cosy place to stay in a beautiful area in Hereford but based on the cusp of Worcestershire.
